People sucked at changing transmission fluid before manufacturers insisted it was “lifetime fill.” Now they suck even more. Never mind that “lifetime fill” means “never has to be changed except under certain usage cycles which it turns out 97% of cars on the road actually experience,” but nobody will volunteer that

I was bummed when they did some road resurfacing and levelled out a mini Laguna seca Corkscrew near me. Speed limit was 35, but unless you had good tires: 30 was about the limit of safety with the esses and a blind corner.

Ding, ding, ding! I’m going to go further and relay my experience with a notoriously bad transmission that I made last 275k. Honda Odysseys went bad around 75-95k. I did my changes every 15k. Fluid always looked and smelled fresh, as far as trans fluid goes!

Some do. The walls for the rental property next door which are built out of energy panels, as is my garage. They showed up with the walls, window cutouts, locations for the power, plumbing pre-made. Still had to run the plumbing and power, then the roof. My garage (30x40) went up in under two days. The rentals took

That’s wild. Yea while I agree regarding laziness around transportation, I do not in the general sentiment.

Some places are experimenting with this! NYC is starting to build more and more modular apartment buildings and I think other large cities are doing similar. It’s great for affordability and cuts down on the amount of time that the builders need to keep scaffolding up.

It only makes economic sense when multiple units are absolutely identical. If the homeowner decides that they want to move a wall 18" or change the doorway for a double, that’s trivial in framed construction. It’s a nightmare in prefab.

if you’re used to driving a regular car with gear shifters and instrument panels and door handles etc, then driving a tesla is different and it’s basically like having never driven a car before : )

My guess, all these dipahits have Telsa insurance too. So yeah, likely if they don’t suck the D, he’ll deny their claim. Then they’re really screwed.

The interiors scream cheap corporate conference room, where the company is trying to look modern but has an ultra-vheap budget.

Someone once described Tesla interiors as, “Imagine you blew your budget to create a Terminator on the software, so you had to stuff it into a manikin instead of a robot.”

people traded minivans for suvs in the suburbs from the 90s on, explain to me how that makes sense. They dont have more room, its just men not wanting to drive a mini van. Go look at the sales of full size pickups, and then how many people use them for hauling anything at all. People do not use common sense when

It’s not just the exterior. The dash looks like it’s trying to compensate for something and just ends up looking ridiculous, and the steering wheel looks like it has about 500 buttons on it.

Mostly correct. I daily a ‘22 Pathfinder. It has a 9-speed automatic conventional transmission, a naturally aspirated V6, and seats 8. I think that transmission needs to be introduced to the Murano for sure. It’s probably a bit much for the Rogue and the Kicks, and the Ariya is an EV so it doesn’t need one.

Yes, the local LE in my town use white SUVs with “ghost” lettering that is all but impossible to see unless you are looking straight on from the side.

California’s main issue is the 55 limit for trucks and vehicles pulling trailers.  That means two different speed limits on the same road for different traffic.  That’s imposing extra danger.

that’s what it should be. They don’t have to share platforms just use the name as marketing to represent the hierarchy. The BMW 2 series sedan and coupe are 2 completely different vehicles but share a name for example so it’s been done before.

It’s simply him posturing to big labor (which allegedly didn’t vote for him anyway) as he can say he fought for onshoring of jobs or at least preventing of companies from initiating investment in Canada / Mexico. Side benefit of him acting tough and maybe getting minor negotiating benefits similar to Columbia. In

If you think you’re having fun with the BMW, wait til you try Porsche levels of fun... :(
