Same, except it’s not the direct actions of a driver (voluntary or involuntary) that I’m worried about. Trucks blow tires ALL THE TIME, and for some strange reason there seems to be an awful lot of videos on YouTube with passenger vehicles’ tires popping off and flying around the freeway.

The dashcam video on this site recently of a pickup truck tire coming off, rolling in front of a Kia Soul, which then caused the Soul to go airborne and flip over at highway speed still lingers with me.

I had a semi speed past me in the exit-only lane on the highway and yank it just as the lane ended with half the trailer in front and the other half still behind. Good brakes for the win. Thankfully no one rear-ended me or shoved my car under the trailer tires. 

Videos on reddit of massive trucks suddenly veering into oncoming traffic and obliterating an entire SUV or sedan... I FEEL you. I will pass and quickly lose anyone who looks distracted.

Containing the battery within the wheelbase helps with weight distribution and lessens the probability of a battery failure in a collision.

I like that idea a lot. Maybe a billion dollar company could have pathways to temporarily reopen their stocks program if they’re trying to build out a huge initiative (especially if there’s some sort of benefit to the government or general citizenry, like a space program or large-scale environmental innovation), but…

Or we could just go back to making stock buybacks illegal...which they were until Reagan.

I would assume tripping (or being pushed) into the path of an oncoming train would make up for that. At least one fatality recently in Philadelphia where two people in a fight on a subway line ended up with one of them in front of the train.

If he’s under contract, which presumably he is, then yes they probably have to show cause or pay him out in full.  He obviously had some recourse here, given the results of the investigation.

The sole reason that nightmare existed was so Mercedes could advertise an under $200/mo lease payment in the Sunday papers.  BMW had a cheaper 3-series out (if I remember correctly) and Mercedes had to keep up.  So they do the same thing - saw off the back of what was a halfway decent car and come up with a Mercedes…

BMW had one of those as well. Just weird.
