My experience has been very positive in a Mercedes Coupes (from black series to E-performances). I absolutely love it. frees up space in the center console, is super easy to change the gearing literally tap up/down/center press to park, doesn’t get in the way of driving. There is a slight learning curve if you are coming from the conventional way, but I personally love it.

For Mercedes, they seem to program their hybrids to use the EV mode whenever possible and only utilize the gas to recharge it to a certain point. They’ll switch to EV on the highway at whatever speed and maintain it. Why Any PHEV has a speed cap that low is interesting to me. Might as well save on Battery weight, and…

I was about to say this. Even low - mid mileage C-class can be had for under 30K$ in excellent shape. And maintenance for them isn’t bad, reliability is good to.
