There’s a relationship between HP, weight and drivetrain configurations. Porsche is a good example of this, their GT3's are light weight (for modern cars), with very good drivetrains to where they can accelerate like an EV with only 500hp. In general I believe 500hp being the max is a nice balanced power.

I must gotten lucky then because I learned how to drive manual with mine lol. If the 50 stalls didn’t break it, nothing will lol. Still got it, 411whp, E85, stock turbo, 87K miles, the Xs were very forgiving.

Their customer base has the cash for it and the need for exclusivity. It’s the reason why you can’t get a non AMG variant of the SL anymore, or why the AMG GTs were selling just north of 100K back in 2018, but now they are starting at 130K.
