@wætherman: Biased they are, but their reasons are the reasons I haven't pre-ordered one. I have higher hopes for the Adam than any other tablet, but I'm still going to wait till it drops and someone like Giz or Ars reviews it.

They need to get this out there. I've been watching the Adam for a while, and it seems so good. Everything about it most closely marks what I want in a tablet. This is why I don't get an iPad; and I'm a total Apple guy.

For years I was afraid to eat delicious Indian food because I believed it was so spicy I would start breathing fireballs.

As a pretty exclusive Mac user, I was excited about HyperDock, but it's not ready for primetime. I catch it sucking CPU pretty frequently. Not worth it for a power user.

Sometimes I still need to kill -9 from the command line because "Force Quit" don't work.

Irrelevant. If you send most people a document and they don't have something that can read it, they will likely email you back and ask you to send it to them in a file format they can read. Standards are only as good as they are supported. This is why all OSS word processors do .doc

If you're in an IRC room and you're not using VPN, everyone can see your IP address. If they can see your IP address, they can traceroute you. Consequences are a bitch, ain't they?

That number, even worldwide, is just huge. Think about the scaleout necessary to just handle all that data with those new devices. It's really unprecedented.
