How long before they get a porn star to do this? That first DVD will really sell...

@sneakypoo: I needed it because my previous router was on the fritz. I had put off buying one and saw the deal and decided to get it.

I bought a new wifi router at Best Buy on BF. I could have gotten it for the same price on Newegg. At least for me, I did it because I wanted it *now* rather than later.

@VBerg: Yes, but the fact that you have to ask proves the relative ineffectiveness. It's unfortunate that those people got gunned down like that, but right or wrong, most people tacitly accept that things like this happen in war zones.

@FrancoVS: Who was lying? The Chinese, in denying the Google hacking? They will never own up to it and they will never admit wrong doing and anyone within the PRC who suggests otherwise will be silenced.

@Front_Towards_Enemy: That was my whole point; I don't think transparency in Government is ever possible, at least in certain aspects. Things like foreign dealings? Never. I'll just settle for transparency in federal funding.

A common response to "This is endangering lives" has been "name one incident". This is a legitimate response, but what I want to ask is: Of those that think this is increasing transparency, what is one revelation from these diplomatic cables that has been important? I can't think of anything that has been a surprise.

The more stuff like this happens, the harder it is to talk seriously about archaeological research into possibile validity of flood narratives. Things like their widespread replication count against simple cultural cross contamination (Jews stealing from Gilgamesh vs Chinese stealing from Gilgamesh) and underwater

She looks strangely robotic.

Now playing

A real man would just handle it. By banging her mom.

@ILikeKubrick: Are you a fantasy fan? In every D&D-esque fantasy universe, the wizard who has managed to cheat death always becomes A) insane, B) arrogant. The same thing happens in fiction with vampires (IE last season of True Blood). It seems prescient that fiction depicts a high price for immortality.

The interesting bit here of course is that Comcast *competes* with Netflix, in so far as Netflix obviates the lucrative On-Demand movie service. So I think there's actually a case here of Comcast using their sanctioned monopoly powers to stifle competition.

@IGotTheGuns: There's a difference between name calling and systematic, consistent verbal abuse.

@ConfederateRokr: Tell that to the parents of the kids that have committed suicide due to bullying.

The things kids say to each other at school are infinitely more harmful than anything they could do with a pencil.

"belief in processless causation." - not saying I believe this, but some 'ESP' proponents suggest it is acausal.

First Big Sis came for breasts,

I disagree with the notion that this isn't effective. The Giz article about the scanners being shut off is potentially proof right there. The hassle was too much, so the TSA stuck with the metal detectors. Fourth amendment rights were maintained. This sounds like effective to me.

@Sjenkins7000: So if my boss tells me to fly somewhere or I'll lose my job, that isn't forcing? Do we need gunpoint to fit your definition?
