Nicholas Kimball? I see Baghdad Bob changed his name and got a new gig!

@DustyButt: Where were they? Oh, it's obvious! It's easy to be mum when it's someone else's rights. This affects everyone who flies, which is a pretty big chunk of the population (typically on the affluent side to boot).

@jonny: Giz does do some stuff non-gadgety, but this at least deals with the scanners

I did the trial. I liked MobileMe, but I couldn't mentally justify shelling out 100 bucks for it.

First off, editors LOVE this stuff.

So true, but 70% of their customers stream now, so they understand the eventual demise of physical media as a distribution method.

@leoaugust: The Gizmodo tagline says the 60s, but I didn't see him mention that decade in the excerpt.

@robert_rapplean: We have hardly any understanding of neuroplasticity. You're wrong.

I see PZ Myers is vindicated in the tongue lashing given to that toolbag Ray Kurzweil.

@se7a7n7: Well, you're right, not in that world. But the number of potential virtual worlds is essentially unlimited. There is a physical limit to land, but there is no physical limit to companies with this business model creating 'things'. God help them if someone creates an ad based version of this.

@DaveExile: I call shens. I do not believe a 200k/year figure. I find it so outrageous that I'd need proof.

@McNutsack: It is an investment. People don't 'get it' because it's a stupid investment. There are 'real life' nightclubs that aren't worth that much! You know, ones where they can sell high-margin booze and dance with real people and maybe even meet someone to have actual sex with.

@bowei437: I agree. Aluminum band and then we're talking.

@Hellkeeper: Definitely not. Although in terms of port scans, S. Korea actually looks worse than N. I block most countries.

My home router blocks ALL traffic to and from China. That wouldn't help in a situation like this, since things are happening further upstream, but confirms my paranoia.

@phildev1974: You are absolutely right, something like built in FM is an option, and you'll clearly see it on an option list. But will you see "Netflix compatible" on the option list? Even worse is when it's left off of marketing literature and people ask the dude at the store who is just itching for a commission. The

@minardi: Don't be a troll.

@phildev1974: Not a good analogy at all. When you're shopping for a car, you can clearly see if it has a built in GPS. Even if it doesn't, you can just go to Best Buy and mount one.

IMHO, her statements are treasonous.
