Ugh. For a lot of people I know, I really have no desire for them to see the play by play of what I'm listening to. Maybe I put something strange on repeat. I dunno. Maybe I listened to something corny.
There's a deep connection with the interest in making something remote happen. I'm standing here. I do something here. Something happens to that thing or creature over there. The ability to affect over distance is always captivating.

I've always had issue accepting the impact theory. It could be part of it, but it seems like something is missing. They said the Permian event could have been an impact and it was worse...it seems like we ought to see some smaller non-avian dinosaur scavengers hanging on for a little bit.

@ichiban1081: I think putting a right angle adapter on it and using a case will help cable longevity. Some group out of Thailand called null audio makes a replacement cable that is supposedly better, but I'm not willing to drop $100 on a cable; I find the increased quality claims to be spurious.
It's all about the bass to most people, I'd wager, because they don't actively listen to music, they only passively listen to music. When passively listening, 'the beat' is all you get out of it, and that comes out most with accentuated bass.
