Pretty ironic considering this dude was crying two days ago that he was going to quit Apex legends because lost a match “due to lag”. Looks like the universe caught up to his whining ass.

Seconded. I loved City of Heroes.
Yeah and those other 2 games had monthly fees, this did not, how long was this supposed to keep the company a float? It’s a 2012 game.
Companies hiring practices up here are ridiculous too. I’ve been part of at least 4 interviews where I was the last one being interviewed and they passed on everyone else, was told they liked me, but in the end they decided to go with someone that was referred by a friend last minute. Even had one where I was the…
Soon all will be Amazon. Seattazon will become the new name.
My company was working with ArenaNet on a game that was supposed to be announced at the end of last year but ended up getting indefinitely pushed. Without going into too many specifics, I don’t think it was going to be the boon that would have prevented this from happening.
Guess I’m leaving Seattle at the right time. Moved up here almost two years ago and have struggled to find work in games or tech (moved up here from LA after being in the games industry for 10 years). With King shutting down from the Activision layoffs, Wargamming shutting down a year ago, and now this....there’s…
Not surprising, honestly. GW2 isn’t a bad game, but it is a very unpolished one in terms of design. Bad/shallow encounter design for years makes the only way to keep players is to implement insane grinds for useless gear (for a game with no “gear treadmill”, the gear grind is one of the worst I’ve seen in a western…
Man... NCSoft is slashing jobs everywhere aren’t they? I heard layoffs are coming at Iron Tiger (mobile studio in San Mateo), as far as I know they’re going to be laying off all developers (publishing will apparently remain)
Honestly though when was the last time you played an ArenaNet game. I don’t mean that as some sideways “they deserve to be fired” attack but I seriously don’t know anyone whose picked up a title by them in years. I played the first Guild Wars way back when but then GW2 really flew below the radar other than the odd…
They broke my heart and soul with City of Heroes. I greatly enjoyed Wildstar but never gave it my heart because I knew what would come eventually (and it did).
I still imagine a world where NCSoft kept its games going in Legacy mode and shepherded them all into one service umbrella where people could pay a sub and jump…
Just be careful combining those things, a Kitchen-Aid mixer and sex sounds like a recipe for a trip to the ER if you’re not careful.
The nature of video companies will always be like this. The problem with them is that with the rise in popularity of gaming and investors/stakeholders, the expectation for them is to run like some S&P 500 business. The problem is that video game companies do not make every day products (deodorant, food, pet supplies)…
NCsoft had absolutely no clue how to transition to a market where MMOs are no longer the main hot commodity, and that lack of mobility is going to cost a lot of people their jobs
I was a Day one GW2 player, and as stated above you cant trickle out content and not expect this. Its Sad, but expected.
Well, maybe if they hadn’t delayed GW2 for three full years after announcing it, they would have kept more GW core players like me, and they could have kept some momentum. But there’s no way a MMO company who has released only one game and two DLCs more than a decade after their last big announcement is doing well. No…
You are correct, I don’t need my Kitchen-Aid stand mixer. I also don’t need beer, sex or joy. But life would suck without all those things, including my mixer.
I don’t have pics, but yes I put chicken in my mixer ... lately I instant pot up the breasts, and then just toss them in the mixer and turn it on. Shredded chicken in about 30 seconds... bit more clean up than using 2 forks, but omg is it so much faster/better. Here is an article with pics: https://www.stockpilingmoms.…
You’re wrong ... stand mixers are amazing. I make pulled pork/chicken with them, homemade whipped cream, cakes, sauces, lots of other things.
