There are some really chud YouTubers who constantly claim that “woke” Star Wars has been a huge failure and that any day now Lucas is going to come back and take back his franchise and save it.  Including being back Gina and unmaking the Last Jedi and all sorts of other shit that will never happen.

I don’t disagree with that awkward narrative roadblock established by the sequels, but at the same time, Baby Yoda was never, ever going to be gone from “Mandalorian” for long. That puppet is a golden goose for Disney+. I just didn’t think he’d somehow make it back before the new season even started.

There’s been a lot

Luke being a horrible teacher is a holdover from the old EU and, honestly, I kind of like it.  How would he know how to be a good Jedi when he had like 2 weeks of lessons?  He’d have no idea how to properly teach kids how to handle that kind of power.  Thus, you’re always gonna get a Kyp/Ben character from Luke being

If you are a fan of The Mandalorian, just watch the last 3 episodes of The Book of Boba Fett.

If he gets elected, yes. I am still less scared of DeSantis because he has a real electability problem. For whatever reason, an awful lot of people thought Trump had charm and charisma (yeah, we can’t see it, but...). So far as I can see, no one is dying to stump, knock on doors, or vote for DeSantis. If elected, he wo

That’s the hope, despite all the press he gets, he flies below the radar and does a minimal amount of press.
The hope among sane people is that once there is a full media spotlight on him, he’ll wilt and looks just like a nasty boring asshole.
Trump is certainly a nasty asshole, but he ain’t boring.

Yeah, and even if you put aside the “problematic” aspects of the casting, it’s still just weird, continuity-wise, to cast an actor who looks so different from the original. Cumberbatch isn’t even tan or anything!

I have tried very hard to make this point to people who are still focused on Trump’s antics, and I’m not getting very far. Trump had neither the patience nor the attention span to be an effective leader. DeSantis does.

The twist was ridiculous then, and then they tried to do it again with Beyond! That’s what pissed me off. I enjoyed Beyond on the whole, but that they tried to do that whole “dangerous villain who we don’t know who it is until the end or even why he’s mad” thing again, and it made the movie lose a lot of depth, even

She left a huge hole in the Discovery cast when she left. I love me mirror Georgiou, as a balance to the doe-eyed optimism of Burnham and Tilly.

As bad as Trump was, there’s no question this clown would be MUCH worse.

I know you didn’t mean to turn me on, but you did.

Shoot for the stars, Ron! Way to chase the youth vote! See how well this shit plays when you and your charisma-free unlikeable self and Stepford wife are out on the national campaign trail! The kids will be lining up!

BIG STAR TREK BEYOND SPOILER BELOW! SKIP MY COMMENT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW!

Every college in the country should stop accepting Florida high school students, and grad schools and other institutions should stop considering degrees from Florida public colleges as legitimate.

I maintain that Into Darkness would be significantly better if Cumberbatch was exactly who he appeared to be in the beginning of the movie instead of turning out to be Khan. As soon as that reveal happens it all starts to fall apart.

Into Darkness tried to leach off the work that The Wrath of Khan did while doing none of it itself (the reveal of Khan depended totally on knowing the first film). JJ’s attempts at lying about Cumberbatch not being Khan were so terrible no one believed him.

Is there anyone who genuinely liked the character rather than De Lancie’s performance? I mean Q sucked as a concept and a foil, but it was the awesome chemistry between him and Stewart that made it worthwhile.

Explaining the Q was like explaining the Force with Midichlorians.

Same thing can be said of what Voyager did to the Borg. TBF TNG started to run them down, but nothing like with what Voyager did.
