Exactly. Depp was notoriously a trash fire of a human well before that ridiculous trial, and he got creamed in the UK proceedings.

“When I started out in the 70s, there were three networks and 30 great comedy writers. Now we have 500 networks and 30 great comedy writers. The product is not going to be as good.

Angell not dying tragically certainly couldn’t have hurt, but by then season 8 (the first one after Daphne and Niles became a thing) was in the bag, and it seems to be regarded as one of the show’s worst (which means the quality of the writing was only a lot higher than other sitcoms, not astronomically higher).

Why were they slowly flying Ahsoka’s ship along with the turtle people?!?

Star Trek V at least has that TOS heart, with the cheesy visual effects and overreaching story about “finding God,” plus some great scenes with Shatner, Nimoy, and Kelly.

Surely you’re not implying that the movie featuring a villain with a giant, super-evil, ultra-advanced warship with ten times the firepower of the Enterprise, a perfect cloak, triple shields, and a giant death ray with unlimited power and reach—which was also built in secret by rebels or somethingwas a bit dumb and

Hardy was pretty deep into a drug addiction at the time, if I recall, so that’s not surprising. Glad he got past it, and by all accounts he was far from the biggest issue with that movie behind the scenes (*cough* Stuart Baird *cough*)

All three of us clearly heard someone sneeze a few feet away from us.

Nobody knew who Trevor Noah was when he was named the new host after Jon Stewart left. He wasn’t a big name comedian yet and he wasn’t connected to the show.

I’ve heard Abeloth (from final years of the old EU) as a possibility, which is more or less a crazy new monster thing with freaky Force powers. It also ties into the Mortis arc from Clone Wars, which fits Filoni’s vibe, and is a logical option 3 for Baylan that doubles as an incredibly powerful McMuffin.

There is no more torturous first-world problem that getting stuck in a Starbucks drive-thru line for a half-hour if just one car ahead of you is a soccer mom in a Suburban filled with teens, each wanting their own, customized Frappuccino.

Well...COVID also massively fucked up the production and rollout of the post-Endgame movies and TV shows. Hard to stick to a highly-intricate release plan of TV shows and movies when shooting gets delayed, scripts have to be rewritten at the last minute to account for set restrictions, post-production is a mess, and

The muted acting is straight out of The Mandalorian. Could be they want all of the related shows to have a “house style” like the Marvel movies.

Yeah, I always thought it was obvious that these were a juice concentrate mixed with water. I assume cold brew is something similar. The prices Starbucks gets away with for cold drinks are exorbitant, especially when two-thirds of the cup is filled with ice unless you order less.

Legacy fast food places are fucking depressing nowadays. Dining rooms are empty, neglected spaces filled with disorganized, cheap-looking “bistro” furniture, staff is stretched thin, and the food is as or more expensive than slightly higher end fast-casual places. $4 for a soda at Carls Jr.? $12 for a combo burger meal

Yeah, I never bought into the rumors that Heidi Svedberg didn’t gel with the main cast. If that was the case, they never would’ve brought Susan back in a significant role so late in the series and after the NBC pilot arc.

If that wasn’t an episode of The Office, it should’ve been.

Look closely at the shirt—his campaign logo is embroidered on one side...and his name is embroidered on the other. Is he deathly afraid of not being recognized?

That was basically how he was portrayed in Rebels. He was an incredibly competent antagonist who regularly notched wins against the heroes. If he lost, it was because of less competent underlings, external forces beyond anyone’s control, or because the Rebels got lucky. Wile E. Coyote he was not.

As I understand it, the unions don’t support consumer action (yet) because it could lead to more cancellations of in-progress shows.
