I don’t blame the others for being curious/concerned. Being ghosted like that is super weird and unnerving. Sounds like he had a bit of mid-life crisis during covid and decided to start anew in politics.

Emergency alerts, like storm warnings, will be relegated to the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration radio broadcasts, which don’t cover the whole state, per Alaska Public Media.

I’m really amazed at the number of people who want to burn Reddit to the ground and salt the servers that hosted it over these changes.

Plain, simple hubris could be at fault here, too. Zaslav is a career media executive and wanted to be in charge of a legacy studio. He orchestrated a deal to do so, and the price was saddling WB with a truly astronomical level of debt.

Agreed. Prodigy has a better chance of being picked up than other shows in its position.

I can’t recall the source, but I believe the Picard rumor is partly true. Tuvok’s scene with Seven in the series finale, where she is promoted to Captain, was originally supposed to include Janeway and Harry Kim (also a Captain) as well. It was cut because Harry Kim can never be anything but an Ensign for budget

THR says that they’re being allowed to finish post-production on season 2.

Did you even read the article linked in that first sentence?

I love me a good Tuvix joke, but Janeway really was a fine character and Kate Mulgrew was exemplary in the role. It’s disappointing to see Prodigy go down this way.

Just tell me there’s a scene where CGI Shia LaBeouf gets run over by a truck, steamroller, and the USC Marching Band.

I don’t see the issue? For all the extremely online arguing about the sequels, the one thing a majority seem to agree on is that they were well-cast.

I’m convinced that, with Showtime content merging into the service, Paramount+ is pivoting to focus on dramas and premium content, and other types of programming, particularly children’s programming will be sold off to streaming platforms that have a better grasp on that market.

Probably for the best. I can’t imagine that the Honey I Shrunk the Kids franchise is one that has a lot of interest to Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha, nor does it have enough nostalgia associated with it to get the Gene/Millennials super excited. This would’ve been forgotten about a week after dropping on Disney+.

People call it the Snyderverse because Zack Snyder made the first 2.75 movies and cast most of the leads in the mainline films, not because he personally made and is responsible for each movie.

I figured as much. PlutoTV is also owned by Paramount and is one of the few elements of their streaming push that seems to work as intended.

The reason behind the removals, here and elsewhere, is a tax write-down that streaming services can get by Thanos-snapping their own original series.

The synopsis for Strange New Worlds talks about La’an going back in time and “coming face to face with her own contentious legacy.”

I would’ve agreed five years ago. Today though, I’m not sure that a CBS airing would help much. The limited YouTube releases they’ve been doing probably move the needle more than anything.

Interesting. Disco getting yanked right before the season started left a bad taste in my mouth, even though it didn’t affect me. I didn’t realize they never followed through on the purchase option.

Didn’t they make season 4 available for purchase (via download) in those markets as well, or was that only in certain countries?
