Echoing what others have said, but unless you’re a Ph.D candidate in an expanding/lucrative field (e.g. anything STEM-related, especially engineering or computer science, and probably business, too) there are too many applicants vying for a small number of jobs. They probably thought this would be a way to

CNN reports that Vitolo-Haddad had actually accepted a tenure-track professor position at California State University, Fresno starting in fall 2021.

Yeah I don’t get the snark about this. Obama’s memoir sounds interesting and I might just pick it up when Trump and the pandemic are in the rearview mirror and I can stomach quasi-political reading again.

I think 1999 turned out the best of the dream seasons. It was the only one of the three to put the original cast back in something resembling their original roles (albeit on a spaceship instead of a spy agency) and the new writers injected some fresh energy into the show.

ANTON!!!

Every time...every time I see a headline about this story, I briefly panic that one of my favorite feel-good shows is going to be ruined by something more serious than Kristey Alley and John Ratzenberger’s dumb opinions.

XANADU *ma’am I checked with the kitchen and there’s no cream in the soup, just like you wanted* XANADU

I’ve heard that possibility, too, but it’s strange that he hasn’t done anything since.

Given that they pump out 22 episodes a year in relative obscurity, I imagine the writing staff is pretty lean. For me, episodes in the newer seasons range anywhere from “comfortable background noise” to “instant classic” (looking at you, “Rabbit Ears”).

Reginald mainly seemed to stick around as a love interest for Hayley, which is probably why he disappeared not long after she married Jeff.

And that was the B-plot to Stan trying to make up for years of being an emotionally distant father by using one of the CIA’s Avatar-style drones to pose as a hot girl and take Steve’s virginity.

I always wondered what happened to Mike Barker, who was one of the co-showrunners and voice actors during the FOX years and left around the time the show moved to TBS. I figured TBS’ budget didn’t allow for two showrunners, but IMDB says he hasn’t done any industry work since leaving AD.

That’s obviously Roger in disguise.

Some schools are talking about a spring football season, as if we’ll have a working vaccine widely distributed in ~4 months.

That’s a fair argument. I honestly don’t think it would’ve made a huge difference one way or another if these revelations had come out earlier, but it’s hard to say. I’m very interested in seeing if/how this impacts Trump’s COVID-denier supporters and enablers going forward.

I’m fine with the timing of this release. Like every Trump scandal, the Woodward tapes will have a shorter shelf life than unrefrigerated milk. This way at least they’ll be at the front-of-mind of voters during early voting.

It’s part of ABC’s three-point plan to reinvigorate their long-running reality show:

“It’s one banana, Michael. What could it cost, ten dollars?”

I get the complaint, but I’ve felt that having the bridge officers in the background on Discovery is actually an improvement. After Voyager and Enterprise—which had more main characters than the writers cared about or knew how to develop—I thought having a smaller main and larger secondary cast would better serve
