I backed it for PC and am playing (except for when chatting and searching for particular star systems) exclusively with a 360 controller.

I'll probably get this for X1 as well, to play with those of my friends who never would have thought about buying it for PC.

My best guess is you would be able to play it 25-40 frames on highest setting in 1080p. With 40+ fps if you make some down adjustments in quality.

I'm playing with an ancient q6600 and a Nvidia GTX 750Ti. Plays fine. 35-55 fps.
