I think (am I wrong? Seriously.) there have been recent protests outside the homes of racist assholes who became viral for their racism. I don’t think they see this as any different.

A split party is basically always good for the opposing party as I understand it. Their efforts become diluted. I’d love to see Democrats lock in a series of wins as long as they do something positive with them.
