I think you’re basing your argument on things that Trump may have said in the distant past that were actually fairly liberal. Or at least indicated that he was sympathetic to liberals on some issues.

Hillary was a terrible candidate. That seems to be an objective truth at this point. If Hillary and a 70 year old Socialist is all you can put up for running, you’re screwed.

For Democrats, single payer has always been the end goal. They just couldn’t get it passed so they elected to do it incrementally.

I don’t think that’s true. If single payer goes into effect, the rich would probably end up with worse qualify of care than they currently have. Many of the poor - or middle class - would likely receive better care.

I think it’s a fairly widespread law. I don’t think it’s stupid. Virtually all bikes have reflective tape/devices, etc. that make them visible to drivers. If a driver is paying attention he should have no problem seeing the cyclist.
