A good, homemade pot pie is going to take a ridiculous amount of time compared to a frozen one. You have to make the dough for the crust, you have to boil root vegetables, then saute onions and make the gravy, mix in the other stuff, form the pie, fill it, and bake it.

I have seen some frozen foods (fries and a mini pizza) come with air fryer directions, now. I think that beats both in most cases, as the time would be cut quite a bit and it would still generally taste like out of the oven.
