How tf is putting on your blinkers, slowing down, and driving on as much of the shoulder as there was ignoring? If anything her being so much in the right lane while still driving shows just how unsafe stopping there is.

I also use to be much more in the side of the cops, but the police seem to be using force more when unnecessary than when needed, so f*** them and take away their guns and “toys” (since many of them see then that way).

Except she didn’t ignore him. She turned on her emergency blinkers and slowed down. At this point the officer could literally call for backup and they could wait for her to run out of gas in the very extreme. There was no need to risk life and cost this much damage to both her, her car, and public property (I’m sure

Yet I’ve been yelled at by cops for immediately pulling over and told to move my car and not pull over till it’s safe. You can’t win with cops. If they want to do something like this they’ll find an excuse. The article also says she wanted to get to the next exit as there was little to no shoulder. So the question

T-wrecks is for when one of these t-bones someone.

Roughly half the people on Earth are below average intelligence...

I believe that’s what it was when I bought my 2006 BMW E90 325i with 10k miles on it CPO. Luckily for me that was just long enough for me to pay off the loan before everything started breaking down on it at 50k miles and I sold it at 60k miles. I loved that car, but I hated spending about $1,000 every month or 2 on

And I was thinking the plexiglass would have looked better as chrome or something...

Counter counter counter counter counter counter counter counter point: just add a big fake spoiler and some v-tech stickers. That’s good for at least 1,000 more hp!

And then laughed, climbed back up, and did it again.

Regarding #3, it’s not just the breaks, it’s the tires. Why does nearly every car in movies and TV have a tire squeal sound effect every time they accelerate or turn, even when it’s obviously at a reasonable speed? Maybe the sound effects department bills by the number of effects used and this is an easy way to make

Those are valid points, I was just trying to say what we saw didn’t really look like a holodeck to me. Wether holograms or holographic displays belong 10 years prior to TOS is another conversation.

“The Federation and their captains/admirals certainly aren’t acting like the idealistic group we know, with all the “enslaving a sentient race to drive our ships” thing.”

I agree with your original post (except I haven’t read much else by this author, so I can’t comment there). But one of the things I found particularly telling and frankly quite comical is the title states, “Another episode with too much Star Trek,” and the whole article seems to say the opposite, such as, “how un-Star

While I agree with what you’re saying as a whole, I personally found Voyager to have far less unwatchable episodes than TOS and DS9. For me half the DS9 episodes were horrible soap opera episodes with garbage like love triangles and the other hal furthered the Dominion plot and were probably the best trek ever made.

“Discovery seems to have a Holodeck or something very close to it.”

Like most times I accelerated fast in that car, the point was to put a smile on my face. 😜 Besides, what’s the point of owning a car like that and not using the upper rpm range? Is any quick acceleration just something you consider a waste and you should never let your engine rev above 2.5k rpm?

I use to own an ‘06 BMW E90 325i that had a 3.0L inline 6 with a 6 speed manual. It didn’t have tons of horsepower or torque, but it could go from redline in 1st to 4th gear but you’d have to wait a decent while for the rpms to drop. It’s not something I’d do often, but it was possible.

“BUT, my point was that arguments of “it can’t render something 3D” are missing the fact that you can get this exact look with 2D art.”

PWM FTW!
