Ever thought maybe that there are some game genres that are meant for others and not for you? Why does perma-death have to die over your own personal dislike? Not every game has to cater to you.

It’s not possible to be wrong on matters of opinion. That’s an improper definition of the word “wrong.”

I certainly wouldn’t argue that Shovel Knight “looks worse,” but I think it’s worth saying that it reaches for lower-hanging fruit because of a more abstract style and banking on the nostalgic appeal of the “worse”…
