"It just feels like the parents aren't even trying to be parents."
I think Dasani's story is an amazing one, and it truly needs to be told. The Times piece is very well done—I'm interested in reading the remaining parts to learn more about Dasani and how she survives. My heart goes out to this girl—I can't imagine bearing so much responsibility at such a young age.
If they get jobs making minimum wage, they will be making less than they do on welfare and could be booted from the shelter anyway. It's a Catch 22. But obviously, these parents are not particularly responsible, which is an incredible understatement.
There's a huge difference between someone like a Miley or Rihanna and someone like Adele. It's called talent. Adele doesn't need to have tmanufactured bells and whistles because her voice and songwriting skills are the hook in and of themselves. People like Miley and Rihanna have perfectly fine voices, but sell…
Given that it sounds like their "relationship" was pretty much staged for the fans, I don't think this is weird.
What you're seeing in the VS shot is not photoshop—that's a behind the scenes shot, it hasn't been 'shopped yet. What they do use to give these modest-chested models the look of a large bust are 1) the insane VS push-up styles and 2) those chicken cutlet breast inserts—probably 2 pairs at a time.
The original Uno's? The one with sister Due's? That pizza is the best and loved by many Chicagoans, myself and my family included. Malnati's is a close second...because I can get it FedEx'd to NYC where I now reside.
Good for her...that dude sleeps with ANYONE. Major sleaze. Yuck.
The nurse who is bathing the babies developed this specific technique—and it does say that people should not try this at home.
That article didn't attack his looks. It was just a long complaint that he wasn't Jesses Williams.
Accidental post, sorry! But consigning the above. That man is dead sexy...
This is the result of the stylist, Carlyne Cerf De Duzdele (spelling is wrong). She did a similar look with Joan Smalls as Tina Turner for V Magazine recently. Even the poses are the same.
Logic is great, but it calls for one to include all relevant facts, not just the excerpt that support one's POV. Like this statement from the man who conducted the study (of 330 people):
"He stressed on Wednesday that his preliminary research was not based on a representative sample of women and therefore it would be…
LOL. This is crazy talk. Unless if by scientific study you meant totally made up bunch of stuff.
Wow. That's a pretty gigantic leap. I think obnoxious is code word for ANY teen, especially one in the entertainment business.
On the flip side, the ONLY reason she has a VF profile (or any visibility in the US), is because her husband had an affair with Kristen Stewart. Yes, she was a successful model (moreso in the UK), but she became famous because of the affair. If she wanted the focus to be on her accomplishments, she could have made the…
I am not defending the chick, cause waxing a toddler is messed up. But it's possible she used waxing strips, which so not have to be hot and are solid on form. Which means it wouldn't be dangerous or harmful...just painful and totally unnecessary.
Yeah, I thought she looked fab. And the coat seemed appropriate for a November issue...I didn't really understand why it was so controversial. Being all angry on McCarthy's behalf seemed dismissive of McCarthy herself, even before she spoke up. I mean, do you really think that she's some kind of passive idiot who…
Well that's too bad. My cousin got hers for "free." The pumping isn't too bad—at least this way my husband takes the occasional night with the babe and I get more rest. Had to do it with my first as well for a variety of reasons (first was a crazy slow eater that no amount of lactation consults could fix, and the…
Slightly tangential, but this exclusively pumping mom is chiming in to mention that as of last year under Obamacare, breast pumps are 100% covered by insurance. Of course, this is provided one has insurance...
