Exactly! If she was still a money maker for them, those companies would have "found it in their hearts" to stand by her during this troubling time. And played a pivotal role in the crisis management of this issue.

They really didn't discuss the request to have waiters dressed as slaves for that wedding? Not at all?

I agree. I think this kind of exposure for a little dude is too much. And, I said this elsewhere, but there are potential safety issues resulting from the oversharing as well: they talk about where they live and the fact that the dad is a big finance guy (read: $$$), and they post pics of what the kid is wearing

Actually, he doesn't have a style blog. The mom posts pics on her (public) Instagram account, they just got very popular.

I agree on both points. I feel that posting pics of your kid every day on your public Instagram account with the location tagged, plus disclosing where you live and what dad does for a living? That's putting your kid a little too out there for my comfort level.

To be fair (accurate, really): his mom just posts pics of him on her Instagram feed. He doesn't have a style blog...yet.

A Facebook friend of mine (a new cousin in law whom I don't really know) responded to the Paula Deen thing with a meme from a Facebook group called "American White History Month." I made the mistake of clicking to see what it was. Truly disgusting. And defriending in 3, 2, 1...

I put a dull, boring cream colored throw blanket on my registry (not overpriced, though). We use it daily and luxuriate in its comforting softness. So perhaps the revenge is on you? ;)

Yeah, I didn't associate the slam with the fact that it was same sex, more like they are shallow people who had a wedding as a money grab and weren't very interested in the MARRIAGE part.

VS is one company with several channels (stores, online, catalog). VS is owned by Limited Brands, who bought the concept in 1982 from the founder (6 small stores and the catalog). So there have been two owners, but only one owner at a time.

It's great that they did the free 2-day shipping for you! They do have great swimsuits at a good price, they stock in the stores just stinks (for swim, even during non SAS). Hope it works out for you!

I agree that photoshop is a big problem in the advertising and editorial world. I am simply making the point that when it comes to photoshop offenders,VS is pretty low in the list. Do they have their blatant errors where a joint looks weird or fingers are missing? Yes. But do they regularly misrepresent the bodies of

VS offers 50 styles of 32DDD. They do cater to people or varying size, you just won't find those sizes in their stores. Like every other retailer, items need to offer a certain amount of profitability in order to take up space on the racks. The more unusual sizes don't make the cut, but are offered on the website.

I have seen most of those models in person (around NYC and as an audience member at the VS Fashion Show for the past 6 years). I have also seen many VS campaigns before retouching. The models look pretty freakish and abnormal in person—those girls are so far from what an average person looks like. It's just easier for

Are they really hurting themselves economically? VS branding is all about fantasy—their marketing centers on the Supermodel, that isn't going to change. They certainly serve a wider range of body types than their spokeswomen: they carry bras from 30A-40DDD (not always in stores, but definitely online). That's a pretty

All of the posts you referenced are conjecture. The one that says they elongated Lais Ribero? She looks like that in real life (if you see runway shots of her)—she has a really long torso. The ones of Candice are also conjecture—she has a crazy waist to hip ratio—sometimes they smooth out the bend at the waist, but

Lesson learned: do not shop at VS during semi-annual sale if you want to have a decent experience (or things stocked properly). It's a sh**show for those weeks in June.

It's been established in more than one of the photoshop posts right here on Jezebel that VS really doesn't alter their models' bodies very much via photoshop. They do some smoothing and remove straps and change clothing colors all the time, but they do not really alter the way those models look (no thinning of thighs

You are correct. Moss' dress is a schizo mess.

The jumpsuit is a little Carol Brady. Maybe that's why?
