To me, this is more than huge. This is brilliant marketing.
There were probably many more, and they were probably ready to ship but got quarantined. Either one made it out of quarantine without being reworked by accident or got shipped before they could stop shipment on the batch of VINs.
we all appreciate the insighy as to how such an issue could have occurd.
Perhaps I could give an insighy. I work for BMW at this very plant and if something threw up a red flag and somehow made it passed an inspection, it could’ve made it to a customer.
It would have been great if they had called out the owner in the press release. “Gary, bring back your X3. It might catch on fire. Our bad, dude.”
