That's a tough situation, sorry you find yourself in it. If this relationship looks like it's headed toward marriage (and judging from other comments, it sounds like it does), you'll have to have a serious discussion — possibly with someone else you both trust as a potential mediator — about money and money

Studies like this would be great if companies actually gave a sh*t.

I've served in downtown LA also. When the jury people found out how much paid jury duty I got (two weeks worth, I think?) I got sent over to the civil courthouse, where the trials are longer. I was OK with this though — at the time, I was working nights, and doing jury duty during the day felt like vacation! Plus, I'd

I can only imagine the outrage among friends if I were ever to sell a dog. Also, my kids (toddlers) so far have been great, haven't considered selling them yet. Ask me again when they hit puberty.

This. I was just about to comment that when I've approached the subject of a dog with my husband, he would say, let's just have kids. At least when they grow up, they can do some work.

I actually prefer the nursing tanks in every way possible. They are SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE than nursing bras, but sometimes you just have to wear a bra. I think I lived in nursing tanks for the first six months, and I hate to say it, but I still use them to this day.

I think bouncing back from a medical emergency should have been on this list, rather than bankruptcy.

I'd love to know how someone determined it isn't safe to microwave grapes.

Nice job using a super sexist image of a woman cheering as she crouches on a scale. I don't know any woman who would crouch on a scale for any reason (does it make you weigh less or something?), much less cheer while on it.

This. This is precisely why my husband resists all my very well-reasoned and fully documented arguments for cutting out cable. Of course, it *could* still happen since we moved to a new place last summer where basic cable is included.

My first job was a struggle to get. I didn't drive, and my mom didn't want me to get a job (she wanted me to simply go to school like a good Filipino girl), so she refused to drive me to the interview. I had to bum a ride from someone I knew from school and I was two hours late, but I got the job anyway. The job was

If you have a federally subsidized student loan (i.e. with really low interest rates), pay the minimums and save some money. Whether your student loan is from a private or public lender, they cannot be forgiven by, say, bankruptcy, so you will have to pay them down either way.

I would prefer a hack to help me deal with the bathtub door rails I have to lean over in order to bathe my kids. Those things can hurt like a m*@^%$#!

Good, this releases me from the pressure of trying to learn football or basketball intricacies for the sake of supporting my boys. Because I was not sure how that was going to happen.

No, I agree. I have a similar issue. Last time I went to the doctor's, a mid-wife recommended a maternity belt to help support my belly. It helps a little, but only for a while because it eventually molds into the pelvis/belly crease and then starts pressing down on my bladder. When I go in next week, I'm going to ask

The Disney sheets, the high-tech set up and all those "collectibles" make me wonder if this is an ex-boyfriend's room.

I would have loved to see you also include prenatal or pregnancy massage (says the 7-month pregnant lady with debilitating back pain) and foot massages. Foot massage parlors in particular are extremely popular out here in LA. I've had one or two of these, and it can be very relaxing, and a really good one will include

Which school district is that? So that I can avoid it. :)

Is this because any preschool that's not public school is so $!$%R^ expensive?
