I try really hard, especially in shows like this and Mr. Robot, to not try to "beat" the show and figure it out before it happens. I really like letting the story unfold and allowing myself to be shocked.

I think this show is entirely pulled from other films/television and it's intentional. I think Esmail even went so far as to say something to the effect of nothing really being hidden, and film fans can pick up on things quicker than those who aren't.
