This launch has been done a bit poorly, even setting supply shortages aside. I just received my Switch from Amazon today(not a third party seller), and it had been opened and someone had taken out the dock and HDMI cable for some reason. Of course, I’m getting a refund and sending it all back, but man...what a

I really, really, REALLY wish Nintendo would just go third party already. You just know that there are going to be extensive software droughts even after they finally catch up to demand on the hardware side. It gets harder and harder to buy their consoles just for a tiny handful of third party games and their marquee

This would just drive customers away from voice communication entirely. Evil and stupid at the same time, that may as well be the new motto of the decade.

At least now Nintendo will lose a lot of money in lost subcriptions during their typical software droughts.

It’s a crying shame that some of the best artists in the business are under some of the worst project managers in the business. Hopefully more and more of them go indie.

Ugh. While I think there have been some good Lego games, it’s a real shame that they’ve completely taken over movie games. Imagine if we have more stuff like Arkham Asylum for other IPs instead of a deluge of this stuff.

Are the switch loading times much faster than the Wii U version? Because I played the digital Wii U version, and was really bugged by the long loading times, especially for “fast” travel.

I can only speak to the pre-DLC state of the first game, but my main problem with it was the general lack of environments to play in. What was it, like 3 or 4 small planets that you could just sort of replay again and again and again with small tweaks to the enemies and your equipment? It got *so* boring so fast, like

Did they say if they’re going to add the ability to set reminders and calendar events on Google Home? It seems bizarre that we’re so many months in without that.

What I wouldn’t give for a PC port. I’m enjoying the Wii U version, but imagining a full 1080p 60fps mod supported version of this game...curse you, exclusivity bullshit.

I’m sure you’ve never made a typo while swipe typing on a phone. Doubtlessly, you are a super genius who just happens to spend his time insulting people in the Kotaku comments section, as super successful people are wont to do.

Auto-correct on a phone, pardon. That post doesn’t have an edit button for some reason. Must be a “can’t change after people respond” kind of deal.

Did they fix the controller input lag from the PS4 demo? Did that happen to find its way into the semi-structured PC version? Just checking, because while this game looks right up my alley, I found that PS4 demo unplayable.

Wow! I was sure this would be a stinker, given that Guerrilla had chance after chance after chance to make a good Killzone game and never quite did. Glad to hear I was wrong about this one.

I can’t speak to SV, but working at a tech company in Denver, if anything its the opposite negative extreme—I’ve seen quite a few women and minorities promoted to leadership positions when they had just joined the workforce, out of a desire to increase the company’s “diversity cred”, setting them up to fail as they

While I am yet another person who didn’t buy this one, I was probably closer to a purchase on this one than the last few I skipped specifically because of the unique setting—I’ll pick it up on PC for $15 or less whenever it goes for that cheap. However, if the next games is going to just be more Modern Warfare then

Honestly, I just want the PC version of Oblivion to be updated with controller support. If you’re going to play a game for a hundred hours, may as well be on the couch instead of office chair.

As big of a fan I am of Ico and Shadow of the Collosus, it is a relief to see that the Last Guardian didn’t make the cut. It’s a beautiful aesthetic experience, but as a *game* it might be the single worst one I’ve ever played. Controls, camera, frame rate, responsiveness...it simply fails on every one level.

Yeah, it does seem like this will just train pirates to wait three months instead of buying the game.

And yet the Steam version of Riddick is still sitting there with Securom that makes the thing unplayable to legitmate customers on Windows 10.
