I can agree with you there. Whether or not the show deserves an A based on the merit of how good it is, the tone of the review is clearly ideological.

The tone of how they get called out tends to influence things. If the person says something that's casually racist and the response is "ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!" that's when they tend to get defensive. It's like the old adage of if "if the only tool you have is a hammer, you treat all problems like they're nails."
I think its because they see victimhood as some sort of morally pure position to be. If you're not a victim, you must be a victimizer. Most people don't see themselves as any sort of oppressor, so white people in first world countries living at this moment in time are sort of in a pickle about what their future will…
Diary of an Angry Half-Black College Radio Personality.
The show was originally going to be named "Dear Stupid Crackers," but they were afraid that might be off-putting…
Bullshit, you're a gray and white dog. Quit trying to appropriate someone else's culture.
Somehow the AV Club staff thinks we never had issues with immigration, war or con men before Jan. 20, 2017.
Temple of Doom is 90 minutes of banal character interactions (Shut the fuck up, Winnie! SHUT THE FUCK UP!) followed by a kick-ass 30-minute finale. I have the movie on Blu-Ray and I don't even bother to watch the whole thing, I just skip to the part where Indy snaps out of his brainwashing and everything is golden…
If you don't screw with them, are they normally okay with a human beings just being around? Or are they always staring at you crossways, ready to strike?
"Timely!"
It's a shitty film but the idea still has merit. All dystopias are "what if?" scenarios, what's wrong with exploring how a female-dominated society would have it's own problems?
Tumblr, the movie.
Everyone pulls out that "illegally installed" argument like the city would allow a random statue to be placed on public grounds for more then 30 years and never get around to removing it. It was reinstalled with official approval. The statue is there legally.
The artist is complaining because the girl's statue is…
Ugh, damn it, I mean, I just… ugh!
"Will you people please stop hating my completely legitimate condemnation of the Jews, I mean talk about persecution!"
Which is really incredible, since the letter J wasn't created until centuries after that deathtrap was supposedly built. Those Knights Templar were real forward thinkers!
The Shining is a good horror film, it's just not a good adaptation of King's novel. On the other hand, the 1990s made-for-tv move IS a good adaptation, it's just a shit movie. And that's the one Stephen King likes.
I think Thundercant, in his particularly weird way, was simply advocating the path of least resistance. Yes, the police were wrong to forcibly remove that passenger, but resisting them got the man a bloody face and possibly arrested. He made his case, and they said "Fuck you, we're the cops."
Seriously though, that would be an interesting thing to watch. Our authorities are trained to handle "active" threats, like riots, assaults, etc. How do you handle millions of people just deciding not to work?
Mid level manager: "Sir, no one has shown up for work for a week!"
Gary Oldman: "What? Fire them!"
Mid level manager: "Um, fire who?"
Gary Oldman: "EVERYONE!"
