However, its performance and camera just doesn’t match what you get from an iPhone 12 Mini, which is basically a normal iPhone 12 with a smaller 4.7-inch screen.

Disagree it works fine. MMS is awful for me on iOS 14—even just texting one other person a photograph is completely unreliable. Same for my wife and others online, though of course I can’t speak for everyone.
How did you Xerox that enough times since LeBron posted it to make it look that bad?
I’m not sure why you’re making this a permissions issue, when both of the permissions the Post cites—Limit Ad Tracking and Background App Refresh—are set by default by Apple to the privacy-destroying setting.
You should read the article, because they call out the Post’s own app for doing this tracking. I’d say the journalistic integrity here is outstanding.
What I think is both misleading and frankly disingenuous of both the WaPo piece…is that most of the trackers are originating from third party apps.
It’s probably a reference to the recent Washington Post story about the insane tracking coming off of (third-party) iPhone apps: https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2019/05/28/its-middle-night-do-you-know-who-your-iphone-is-talking/
Galaxy S5 was waterproof with a removable battery, so they’re really all in manufacturers’ control.
Thank you! I get that some commenters (clearly) take it too far, but it always weirds me out when people talk about who can @ them and who should reply to what. It’s a public space, like it or not.
Of course they got it wrong. They’re Arizona. The only thing they get right is one-upping you when you say it’s hot out.
Dude, you don’t have the latest and greatest any more. Yes, Apple’s a little cheesy about it—but it’s not nearly as cheesy as when they were making certain ringtones iPhone 4 only, and not available on the 3GS. 🙄
That is an ingenious solution. I’m still wondering when the first phone will have a selfie cam as good or better than the back cam. I’d say this one counts. Pity about video chat, though.
I have a PC laptop from 2011 that’s still running great. Part of that’s because it wasn’t stuck with the same RAM and disk I bought it with, unlike a modern Mac.
How many personal users need perfect Word and Excel compatibility beyond what Office Online can provide? You can certainly open and read and edit any Office document on a Chromebook

What makes the Air so different from the iPhone XR, which every reviewer is telling me is a great deal?
Wow, this is awful, & it’s a feather in the cap for anyone who’s been against mandatory automatic updates.
Google really is angling to replace Facebook as the reigning king of dark patterns, aren’t they?
Only beta OS I ever ran was Windows 7, from the public beta up through release, which was most of 2009. Literally no drama whatsoever. I can’t believe how stable it was. I wonder if I’m the only one who’s ever gotten away with this after reading a story like this.
