I propose forever referring to autonomous cars as ‘scalawagons’. Can we please make that happen? If anyone can do it, Torch, it’s you.

You raise some excellent points.

I wish I knew your address, I would have that printed out on a poster and send it to you.

Don’t let perfection be the enemy of progress. Gasoline is cleaner than diesel, and is easier to get, as well. Unless you live in certain parts of California, it’s virtually impossible to refuel a natural gas car.

Honestly, this would be MUCH more CP in 1985 than today.

It always has. That’s just something miserable poor people tell themselves to feel better about their plight.

Wow. That was remarkable. I mean seriously - how on Earth does someone make a roller coaster in roller coaster tycoon that can actually stir you, emotionally? I can’t imagine someone nailing it better than this.

Until the Mojave came out, they advertised the Gladiator with a ~7000lb towing capacity. Here’s the original breakdown:

Yeah, I just hope there’s some kind of performance pack or something that gives it a better suspension, etc. That happens, and it could be a real contender!

That’s quite a stretch. The Civic Si isn’t a base EX with a better engine. It’s a Civic with a better engine, trans, suspension, brakes, tires, wheels, body, and seats. I’m not sure what about what I’ve said lead you to believe that ‘performance car = moar power’, but that’s not at all a correct interpretation.

Whereas the Mazdaspeed3 could take just about anything from a 40mph roll back in its day.

Really, it’s just proof that it can happen!!

Yeah. They’re like the ugly girlfriend you had, who was REALLY good in bed. Sometimes, you think back on how great it was... Other times, you just think about how hideous it is.

Interestingly, my insurance went DOWN when I traded my Raptor for the Trackhawk. Quotes for a Charger Hellcat were similar.

This is the car you’re looking for.

From the FCA days...

Has to be. The Hellcat engines are fairly ancient tech. Cast iron block, pushrods, etc. There’s no real fancy engine tech here, so it just has to be constant tweaks.

Haha - probably takes quite some time, while you’re bouncing off of your rev limiter at ~115!

Yup! I was about to comment about my 2003 Lightning. Full bolt-ons, barely running 11's - I managed about 11mpg on my long (50 miles), mostly-highway commute. Weekends were more like 7-8mpg.

Yeah, I’m with you 100%. Fit and finish on mine were actually pretty good, I got lucky! One other thing that made me raise an eyebrow was the foam engine cover... Didn’t notice that one until I changed my oil for the first time.
