The rattling certainly wasn’t the worst I’ve had by any means, but like I said - just touch the sides of the console. The trim piece there is made of some insanely flimsy plastic, and I just think they could have done a little bit better. Not asking for much, I promise - just a little more attention to detail.

It was a 2019. ‘Pretty nice interior’ is how I would describe a $35k STI, not a $75k Raptor. Honestly, I’m pretty sure the interior in the STI was a bit nicer.

Makes sense. I grew up in NJ. My mom lived in just on the border of Mercer and Monmouth counties, somewhat near Cream Ridge, NJ. Decent sized house on ~3 acres, and her taxes were around $13k when she passed away around 8 years ago. My parents taxes were one of the leading reasons I decided I would never move back

Honestly - more power and a nicer interior were the only two things I really wished for from my Raptor.

When you have that kind of power, and the relative invincibility that a suspension and tire combination competitive to what the Raptor has - EVERYWHERE is a place to use it.

Ok. A couple of things here.

2018, but yes, exactly. A Trackhawk is the vehicle your wife wants.

Holy crap, where do you live? I want to make sure I never consider living there. I pay a tenth of that, and I have a pretty darn nice house, on 5 acres, in a relatively expensive area.

Which, while you’re likely absolutely right, is funny - since the first Ram T-Rex came out decades before the Raptor name was ever invented.

Raphael. Come on man. This is an enthusiast site. Raptor competitor with 707hp? You should be drooling to drive the thing.

Now I just need something that will work while I’m using CarPlay. Right now, the “Hey Siri OK Google” just prompts a response of something like “You’ll need to unlock your iPhone for that.... but I wouldn’t recommend it.”

And yet- other than the fancy suspension, fenders, engine, and frame reinforcement, they’re identical to any other normal F-150 - so my point still stands, 100%. The bed isn’t different on a Raptor, nor is the tailgate, aside from the appliqué. There is absolutely no reason you can’t use a Raptor for work things -

Yup. In the first month I had my Raptor, I was hauling stuff. Beat the crap out of the paint in my bed. Worst part? The design of trucks these days is so bad, they don’t expect you to haul stuff with it - I realized very quickly that, if I tried to slide anything out of my bed, across the open tailgate, it would mar

Sega GT was another solid game, even if it was a bit more ‘arcade’-minded. The worst part about Gran Turismo is the 6 year wait for a product launch after they announce it, because they’re such perfectionists. A good thing, for sure - I just wish they would stop announcing so soon!

The gas thing isn’t such a feat anymore! That really is great, though. There are times when I wish I had kept it a bit simpler - but I’ve got savings, retirement fund is doing great, and cars are really the only thing I spend substantial money on that I enjoy, so might as well enjoy it.

Where the heck do you live? I can’t live in the really scary parts of town here for less than ~$1k/mo for a 1-bedroom. You’d absolutely cry if you saw what I pay for things.

The work is totally awesome, but I was more referring to the ridiculousness of the grille, and the fact that us poor souls, thanks to BMW, even have such thoughts in our heads.

I don’t live or breathe bimmerpost either, and haven’t been on the site since I ditched my M235i some ~4 years ago. Pictures of M3 in camo (grilles visible in some shots) have been all over the car media sites, I’m pretty sure Jalopnik included.

The problem is the DESIGN of license plates in the US, and a few other countries. The thin/long license plates used in Europe do a much better job of blending with the styling on most cars, without blocking airflow to radiators/intercoolers/etc.

Jason, we live in North Carolina. We don’t need a stinkin’ front license plate. This is a problem for people who live in somehow-worse states than ours.
