I probably will not be in the market to update until my television is larger than 27". SuperHD (or even 1080p) doesn’t make much of a difference at that size. Besides, there are more important things I need to use my hard earned cash for than a console that will just start the gotta play them all purchasing sprees

This controller was why I could destroy Double Dragon II on NES with a single life. Never-ending flying knee attacks pretty much broke the game. It was my go to controller for run ‘n gun, shooters, and beat ‘em ups, but I tended to use the outer ring more than the slide button.

It does make sense from a business perspective for them, however it equally makes business sense for me to invest my entertainment budget in products not produced with this mindset.

Just to point out, the entire reason Han and Leia end up on Bespin in Empire is because the hyperdrive was broken and Bespin is the only place Han believes he can reach with sub-light engines before either A) fuel runs out or B) food/water runs out. So the concept of running out of supply/fuel was part of the original

He forgot to mention the time honored eighth thing he proved you can still do on the internet....

Act like a donkey’s behind and insult millions of people with minimum effort.

I think you miss a little of the point of the memories. It wasn’t that Zelda wasn’t figuring out her ‘power’, but that her father was constantly putting her into the box of what the ‘sacred princess’ should do. She naturally was drawn to the machines but her father forbade it, and perhaps had he not she would have

This Gashapon predatory practice has infected not just gaming but toys. Hide the toy in a little bag, vending machine or behind a digital box and make it randomized which item you will get. Behind the scenes make the desirable items extremely rare and watch kids go crazy trying to get them.

I liked the first two Mass Effects on 360, but bought a Wii U when Microsoft completely botched their console reveal (already was unhappy with 360 and paying to access Netflix). I was thrilled to find that Mass Effect 3 was on the new console. That was the start of my frustrations with EA/Bioware.

“The problem is that history is so boring when we could be watching reality TV. I mean, the next senator, governor or even president could come from that or something.” - Random US Citizen

It is sad and frightening to see our elected officials using the National Socialist German Worker’s Party’s playbook of divide and

Roads, Safe Drinking Water (ask Michigan about the importance of that), Emergency services (look at Mingo Junction, OH for what happens without Police force), Sanitation, operational Street/Traffic Lights, Libraries, Public Schools/Universities, Medicaid/Medicare when they get old/disabled, sidewalks, public spaces

Resident Evil is somehow missing from this. Whether it is good or not is debatable, but it most certainly one of the most popular (and successful).

I think part of the solution is to make use what you develop for more than a single game. A well crafted $20 standalone DLC expansion that also sells for $30 on disc would help fill in some of those gaps. With assets already made, you can manage a much smaller team. Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, Dragon Age:

The price of DVD’s, Blu-Ray, and Movie Tickets have more or less remained the same, yet the movie industry has remained profitable despite increasing costs to make a film. I am tired of hearing the argument that the price of games haven’t adjusted despite increased production costs.

That argument conveniently ignores

Well, I know what I will be doing tonight. I played around with the creation tool, but never really found a knack for it. This will probably be a much more productive use of my level save spots, and it gives me something to play if/when the miiverse servers are shutdown.

A more sane and rationale question would be, “Why are American’s turning to comedians for political commentary and punditry?” The fact that Fallon, Meyers, or Oliver need to be looked to for these things speaks volumes about the sad state of the fourth estate. But the American national news has been treated as

I’ve been saying everywhere that Nintendo needed to embrace it’s past. In the NES days (especially in Japan) they were all over score caravan contests and challenges. I’ve discovered a few days ago an old issue of Nintendo Power that included cards for games with three tiered challenges. Somewhere along the way,

I’ve always wondered why someone hadn’t done this before. Take the idea of Retro Game Challenge but make it a lost 80's system that was found with a collection of games.

Retro games can sell well, but they have to bring something different or interesting to the concept. It is what separates a Kemco Retro RPG from something like Shovel Knight. Kemco makes a generic RPG that depends on nostalgia while Yacht Club asked, “What would happen in the NES had progressed into the modern era?”

All said, I think I prefer the Japanese method of a raffle. I well remember my night of standing in line at a store thinking I was going to be able to purchase a Wii only to have 10 additional people “magically” appear because others were “holding” their place.

You do realize that Nintendo is doing little more than pushing publish and updating a webpage, right? Konami is the rights holder for TG-16 and they are the ones developing and publishing the games.
