The subscription method is the most sense and economical for me anyway and I've been doing it for several months now. My only issue is why is it so much more expensive just because I'm not in the US? You can't even blame import tax or production costs. Here in the UK it's charged at about $1:£1. Making it something

That really depends, here in the UK there's no law covering the term since it's such an imprecise term and definition. The debate has been raging for decades over whether to even replace the term engineer and/or license it properly. I have an engineering degree and am professional member of a few engineering

I'll have to wait and see when mine arrives, I have a couple of tablets but they can't replace my e-reader for reading. I'm definitely a big fan of actual e-ink displays.

If you're talking strictest sense I don't believe the ability to hold the image without voltage driving is necessarily part of the definition of electronic paper. Sure most of the different technologies do, but not all. And of course to a large extent it's a marketing term. Back when I was working in the field it was

I always keep thinking e-ink when I see the watch. In fact "e-paper" is a bit misleading too for my mind. I have one on pre-order anyway. :)

#correction, the Pebble has an e-paper screen not an e-ink screen. It's essentially a low powered LCD screen as opposed to electronic ink.

The problem here in the UK (and I'm sure the NSA is spying on us as well) is we have a law that requires you to decrypt your information if ordered to do so. Refusal carries its own prison sentence.

I just received my Corsair Vengeance K95 yesterday, using Cherry Reds. I quite like it but it's taking some adjustment for my fingers compared to the Logitech G19 that I was using.

I switched to Lastpass from Keepass, the convenience of Lastpass (and easily using it across devices) means I'd never go back to Keepass.

I've been using Lastpass for 3 years now. Has anyone switched to Dashlane or experienced both for a comparison?

VOTE: Power Monkey

This confused me too, I guess we're in one of the many countries it doesn't apply to. Just like how I'm missing out on all the Google Voice stuff.

I'm looking forward to the book, I've had it on pre-order for a while now.

Never. At least not for many many years when I applied for the last job I had and lost. Not being employed by others now is one of the most freeing things I've ever done. I get my work from reputation and personal recommendation and experience.

I moved from Astrid a couple of years ago. If you don't have a problem great but for me syncing is one of the most important things and since 2.0 it's never worked properly on my Android and Windows devices and machines, not to mention the Windows application seems pretty buggy to me (problems with UI artifacts), then

I've recently just given up using Wunderlist. I may come back one day but there were so many syncing issues for me that it completely defeated the point (had to check off the same task on multiple devices then found it had popped up again on the first device I'd checked it off on etc etc).

RISC OS!

I have Crashplan running on my NAS itself. The desktop client is purely a front end to configure it. You need to install the headless client. Obviously depends on the NAS operating system but I followed the instructions here to get it running 24/7 on my Synology NAS without needing any computers on: How To Setup Up

That's what I used Mindjet for. I can create or amend mindmaps on my android devices even my kindle fire, and elaborate those maps with either the web app or desktop app on my laptop etc. It's not perfect and pretty expensive but it works.

The birth of Clippy.. Woohoo!!!!
