I know bits and pieces of my rights etc in my country but are there any resources like the EFF anyone knows of with similar information for countries other than the US, specifically UK?

Truecrypt two level plausible deniability is what I'm going to rely on. They can't ask for an encryption key to something they don't know and can't prove exists.
Just to add to everyone else's response, a computer program isn't necessarily quite the same thing as an application in terms of terminology. But near enough, and certainly what the article is talking about are definitely defined more as "applications" than they are computer programs (which could just be some lines of…
I don't think they've ever even tried to justify it. Always seems to be almost a straight $1 to £1 conversion which is ridiculous. Apple aren't alone in this bizarre tactic though.
Don't know about over there in the states, but the absolute most basic (i.e. much lower than this article) spec new mac mini on the Apple Store is £612. That's $977.
Agreed, I actually use Google Calendar as my main calendar and for sharing calendars with others. But I don't think it should be in the Hive Five. Personally when it comes to a desktop calendar I use Outlook (at home and work), it's just synced with Google Calendar, but it's still Outlook that's the desktop app part…
So that's $20/month? Is that right? Wow you guys really get hammered in the States, which is strange because you're usually much much cheaper for things over there.
So you don't pay for anything on your phone? Do you therefore not use it at all?
@cadenlaguna: What's that based on? I've got an HTC Desire and I pay £10/month ($15) which is actually the lowest tariff I've ever paid.
I personally love the Android swipe pattern unlock, is there no equivalent on the iPhone by default?
@Gamecat235: Presumably most people who would use 1337 are exactly the kind of people who'd be better at picking random/unguessable numbers.
@Haneyg: Strange, has always appeared for me and still does. Tried installing and uninstalling? And making sure Air is up todate?
@Stephen: Shill bidding involves the seller pretending to be a buyer, not the buyer pretending to be more than one buyer. In fact I don't think there's anything against eBay rules with this as you're allowed to have multiple accounts as long as they don't interact with each other. Nothing about each interacting with…
@curtis07: I don't think they say it will prevent myopia, it just may statistically have an effect on some people. As article says, myopia can have a complex interacting number of causes. And some of us are genetically very predisposed to getting myopia no matter what, but that anecdotally for you and me doesn't mean…
Not sure I quite agree with this in terms of how the box is dealt with. I have such a box and labelled it "INBOX", and I put all stray stuff, including papers, post, magazines as well as random items yet to be sorted. But this isn't a box to "search through". It's a box to be sorted and hence emptied regularly and…
Unless you were endothermic.
almost zero > zero
Maybe there can be issues with it from Windows to Windows. Best to use whatever works for you, just in my case it became more of a hassle.
@kyre: I used it for a bit but then found it took more and more effort getting it working each time and eventually I couldn't get it to recognise other computers on the same network. I tried Input Director and been using it since, it just works.
@dedwards1: I think you're getting confused between freeware and shareware. WinRAR most definitely is shareware and even says so in their own documentation. Shareware actually means that you can trial it but must pay for it after.
