@reishka: I'd already seen that, is that it? I've seen better data capture browser plugins. You may as well enter it manually in first place plus I presume you can't take advantage of anything on the actual site. So I basically still have to use something else to search for products anyway. Very disappointing. May as

@reishka: Everything I search for only looks through US sites and everything displayed in dollars. I can't see any setting in the site for changing region/currency.

Anyone know of any decent online wishlist tool that's good for UK/sterling use?

@perros: Bit rubbish to be honest (just simple list from their catalogue) and they've yet to introduce the Universal wishlist that [amazon.com] have.

@Tomo-L: First one that popped up locally for me was Peter Andre, I think not. lol.

I use www.collectorz.com Game Collector. I also use their Book Collector, Movie Collector and Music Collector apps. I like the barcode scanning feature. Not perfect but best collecting apps I've found so far for Win. Pity they don't do a general app or an overall "media collector".

@krazydonutboy: Including the games you don't presently have installed?

With the IT control, it's nothing to do with it being a free country, your employer is a private institution and free to have its own rules. These rules are actually quite sensible. The main thing I can think of is security, especially if the company has a security/Government certification then it is required to have

@UnderLoK: I can see what everyone means about syncing versus backup but the way I see it synching is simply a specialised subset of backing up. Just a more usable and functional form of backup because you can essentially work with the "backups" themselves. In a way I suppose I'd call it a "bi-directional backup"

I've used Mozy Premium, Carbonite Unlimited, JungleDisk and Dropbox Basic. All were either flawed, too expensive or just not well featured for my needs. I now use Live Mesh which I'm more than happy with. Never had a problem with it (unlike the others), very easy, free, remote desktop is a nice bonus. I'm surprised it

@Albaraha: I've only just replaced Avira 9 2 weeks ago, on someone else's computer with Eset SS and it now runs much smoother with far less intrusion. If it works for you great, but for my personal experience, which is all I can go by, the freebies can't compete once I tried Eset. Note the personal anecdotal emphasis

I've found all the free anti viruses to be too bloated or draining on system resources and I found overall that economically I was saving money in productivity by paying for Eset NOD 32 (and then later Eset Smart Security). #antivirus

@Alistair Campbell: Not quite true, it's only after the first six months they must prove it and we're talking civil courts here not criminal courts so there's no "beyond reasonable doubt" or anything. Pretty straightforward to demonstrate whether something not down to accidental damage on balance of probabilities. It

@Sockatume: And of course if you order something (e.g. online) you have added rights of the Distance Seller Regulations which give you things like the right to change your mind within 7 days of purchase without the need for a reason. #warranties

@dgoodstein: You don't need to be 21 to drink in every country (certainly not here in UK). ;) #homeservers

@UnderLoK: I believe portableapps is getting an update feature in version 2.0 to be released this week.

From what I've been reading Liberkey seems to mostly be illegal, contravening a lot of licenses and even taking stuff from portableapps.com. Should an illegal (or certainly dubious) software package be included in the hive five? #portableapps

@John T. Haller: I'm looking forward to that. Like KefkaticFanatic, before I looked at the comments I wasn't aware of any besides [portableapps.com] (just recommended it to someone only yesterday) and after looking at the comments that seems to be the case with most people. #portableapplications

@orlo: Except if there are 64 bit apps available they WILL run better and faster. 64-bit means more than simply increasing maximum theoretical RAM. There's various other advantages in speed with addressing etc. #windows7
