I've even hearing the opposite. Most critics say that the 3rd and 4th episode are better. It's the 2nd one that isn't good. Overall, from all critics, this show seems good.

This episode was actually really good. This show gets better each week. Barry is such an interesting character, can't wait till he becomes the titular tyrant. I'm starting to believe in that rumor that his wife might be a spy, she really wanted to stay, using her kids as an excuse.

I enjoyed Fargo much better. I don't why. I enjoyed both, but Fargo just had something that allowed it to be better than True Detective. I loved the humor, the plot, and the characters. Malvo, for me, was quite a more interesting character than Rust.
