@Vidit: I wouldn't be surprised if Google did bring it to iOS if it gets them some search/ad revenue. I don't think it's so much better than say Navigon's app that someone would choose an Android phone just because they'd have to pay a one time $25 fee if they chose an iPhone.

@crazypills77: Yes, you're right. If they just made it smaller and the same res, buttons and everything wouldn't be quite right (some things would just be too physically small or close together to hit if they assumed a 10" screen). Games and such might be fine... But the toolbar in Pages? Maybe not so much.

@Serolf Divad: How small is your small bag? i find the iPad fits pretty easily in any kind of thing i'd carry that fits the description of a "bag"...

@vinod1978: Can you explain this "iTunes Ecosystem" to me?

@VIDEcorMEUM: Do you really see a need for swype on an iPad? That has got to be slower than typing "normally" on the full sized keys. Maybe in portrait mode it would be helpful...

@GizmoTron9000VowsToEarnBackHis...: Some of us Early Adopters can afford to sell our iPad 1 (probably for 70% of what we paid) and buy an iPad 2. It's not like it's a phone on a contract or $5000. No crying necessary :)

@GreasyPig: iOS4's multitasking won't do that, at least I don't think it does it in its current form. I think what you're referring to is iOS4 running on an iPhone 4 with 512 megs of RAM- it's the RAM that allows it to hold onto page data longer.

@Odin: Some people see the value in apps that can respond to a multitouch screen. If you don't, then your 2 "things" are a complete list. If not, they're not even close.

@Matt0505: For $99, it doesn't sound like it would have much internal storage at all, like maybe 4G (enough for its firmware and some apps). I assumed that the "rumored device" would stream from your LAN or the cloud. Unless the apps are rewritten, I guess we'd have to deal with 1024 x 768 or 960 x 640 apps on your

@SinisterBill: But why would the accounting department need to bill anything back? It's not like App purchases are charged to the wireless bill... Not that there aren't other reasons to block it :)

@CultofMac: It does? (install openSSH), because every time ive jailbroken an iphone (and ive done it MANY times in the past week, different devices) i've had to find OpenSSH in Cydia and install it. Also, im not sure SSH is using much battery in the background, if any... (unless someone has connected to it and it's

@Fronzbot: Don't forget that the iPhone 4 is able to *use* a lower signal strength than most other phones. (see the Anandtech articles on it)

@theycallmetheclerk: Why can't you type up large papers? Why can't you upload photos to facebook? Why can't you plug in an sdcard (it needs an adapter, but you sound like it's a missing feature altogether). If you go on like this, 1/2 the things you state simply won't be true...
