I may be thinking overly optimistically, but I hope it encourages people to make anonymous reports to CPS/DCFS when they see signs of child and domestic abuse. Even if it feels like it goes nowhere to the person who reported it... it starts a paper trail that will (hopefully) help the survivor.

Eh, I’m of two minds with this. I agree it shouldn’t be trivialized or sensationalized, but if approached correctly it could be good. I grew up with physical and sexual abuse and I think if I hadn’t believed I was the only one going through something similar (or that it was a bad reflection on me and my family - like

ISIS wants Trump as President SO BAD.

More than the apartments, I’m more annoyed by the “quirky female character who eats a lot of greasy, fatty food but maintains perfect skin and stays slim” trope. She’s not shallow like those salad eating bitches, she just LOOKS like them.

about 92% of things posted on that sub are fake, which is why i love reading it

The thing with that is, doctor don’t actually screen for those conditions before prescribing pills unless they already think you have it. For example, has anyone ever gotten a Factor V genetic test before being given pills if there was no history of blot clot issues in their family?

Of course, now that would involve having to pay out of pocket instead of having it fully covered by insurance.

Cosmo was in a perfect position to do this. Everyone, including Ivanka, thinks they’re a dumb ladymag full of nothing but penis touching tips and other questionable advice, but their political reporting is actually pretty damn good.

Can we not call two people raping another person a theesome? Jesus.

Some brands of almond milk have a higher percentage of calcium per cup than dairy milk. It also doesn't expire nearly as quickly, IME.

I agree with you about the water, which is why I don’t drink it anymore, but I don’t think you’re quite right about the nutrition; almond milk has calcium, magnesium, and vitamins A, D and E, pretty good for something without a lot of calories and no fat. It’s too bad the almonds are so water intensive.

This is a very common argument and one which I also believed. But no. It has not been any more a contributor than the thousands and thousands of cows and other crops that we grow here.

Both the Oxford dictionary (“1.2The white juice of certain plants”) and MW dictionary (“a white liquid produced by a plant”) disagree.

I also think almond milk can fuck right off. It tastes fine, but it provides a small fraction of the nutritional benefits of either dairy or soy milk, and in my opinion it’s a very wasteful way to use a very water-intensive crop. I was so pumped for it too since I’m lactose-intolerant but soy and I are still bff.

oh god. who cares? for all intents and purposes, it’s milk, and serves every function of milk culinarily speaking. don’t get into semantics here.

I honestly still don’t get what people thought the theater should have done (or should do to ‘prevent’ this again.) Some comments here were stepping dangerously close to conservatives who think security and armed guards should be everywhere and that if only there was a ‘good’ guy, we could prevent mass shootings in

I dare say this was always the plan.
