Ya damn right. It’s not turnt if I’m not there! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I don’t know how old you are, where you’re from, or how well you’ve been educated in history. Words can more than one meaning. White can refer to a pigment or it can refer to a social group of people. The sociological word “white” has long history and meaning. It's not referring literally to the color white. It's just

Non-white would imply that white is the default. That’s one reason it’s not used.

Colored was never PC. Don't let them call you that.

Colored people was not a PC term. First, the concept of “political correctness” as we know it didn’t exist at that time. Second, while negro was appropriate, “colored” was offensive.

It’s not popular to talk about racism against Asian people. So, your post is interesting.

This is my favorite comment! It’s like kids standing around having this same conversation and your Latino friend is just like “I say negro because I speak Spanish.” And everyone’s 13 year old mind is blown.

Or pretty AND smart. I regularly have to make myself look less attractive in my industry because of the “you’re too pretty to be so smart” comments and bias I get. It’s really sad and frustrating.

This is from my neighborhood NextDoor after discussions about youths on skateboards being seen in the neighborhood. They say skateboarders because someone was reprimanded for posting about black and Latino kids on skateboards a few weeks ago and one in particular described as “African American with lighter eyes.” So

It doesn’t work like that and I’m a very calm, Oxford educated mixed woman. I’ve had police officers act unnecessarily aggressive towards me even when I was friendly and compliant. I’ve also had extremely pleasant experiences with law enforcement. My cousin is Mexican and has had some really messed up experiences too.

They’ve already posted on my neighborhood NextDoor about “suspicious” latino and black kids “suddenly” roaming around our neighborhood. A sensible white neighbor posted about Pokemon Go and basically told everyone to calm down. Another checked out the game and asked that no one shoot these kids please. So yes this is

But you dropped anecdotal evidence!

I'm 35 and my doctor told me it was pointless to get it because I'd need reading glasses by 45. Anyone else heard this?

I'm the darker child of someone just like your friend. It's different. Period. My mom was definitely treated differently from me and my sister and father and she (finally) admitted that our experiences in the world were not the same as ours. She was always sensitive and tried to protect us but the reality is that her

Totally agree and I say this as a black woman who has mainly only been with white men, almost exclusively Jewish white men.

Taaaaaccccckkkkkkyyyyy!

Read article and then first few comments. Seems like you and a lot of commenters don’t understand yoga.

:) we all need ambassadors and allies in every tribe. It’s an honor to be one. Maybe that’s what you are. I becone an”ambassador” when black people make sweeping statements about whites or Jewish ppl. You can do it so that it’s not arguing too. Saw the woman below at a festival. Interesting message. Your thoughts?

Please say something. Black people cant speak to people like this but you can. I hope that you speak up.
