Shadowrun backer here; that game blew my expectations out of the water, and I have been itching to get and run through the Hong Kong expansion soonish. Definitely no regrets there.

Sweet! That just means the next step is a PC release, right?
I still remember trying to ruin an AD&D game for my brothers using nothing more than a pad of grid paper and the BG1 manual.
Man, I love Loadout’s gameplay, but the character design just drove me away right as I could tell I was getting into the meat of the gameplay. I’d love to see that get some more love, with more character models than just 3 variations on obese rednecks.
Oh man, the Cap’s “plant yourself and tell the world” speech inclusion had me giddy/tearing up.
“A resonance cascade; You people are scientists, for god’s sake.”
The entering/exiting Corneria scenes were note-perfect to my memory of Starfox 64, down to the enemies Falco shoots down.
How awesome/terrible would it be if a soldier who gets multiple Shaken results has the chance to defect, and show up leading the occasional alien force.
See, I thought the final act with the fight with his dad was good, but only about 50% of it.
or a storyline along the lines of Injustice (the game.)
Hell, I liked Ang Lee’s Hulk, and I still would spittake if anyone tried claiming it was a “classic.”
Reminds me of the real-time stuff they were showing off from the Star Wars 1313 tech reel:
Agreed; PA and SC2 were the only RTS games coming to mind that were released within the last couple years.
I apologize for if these are stupid questions, but for Arabia, wouldn’t a knight spam be far more expensive and difficult do do than a spearman counter due to the gold cost rather than wood?
What would it take to reinvigorate the meta? Is it just that some build orders are too powerful, or some units have no good counters?
TA is pretty awesome. I “fondly” remember playing and making a Krogoth, getting all excited he was completed, and then realizing he was trapped on an itty-bitty spit of land where all the bridges to/from it were too thin for him to navigate, and he was too big to be airlifted out.
I restarted the slider theme probably three different times thinking I was going insane and my memory had failed me before I cottoned on.
Oh, don’t get me wrong: Dawn of War is one of the last amazing RTS games from that era. It’s just that it bookended the era, rather than signalled a rebirth for it.
I still think Dark Millennium not being made is one of the biggest vidoe game letdowns of the last decade.
I just need turn-based 40K, period.
