I dunno, I assumed it was since ME:A gets praised alot for combat. I guess that’s the only thing it done well so in comparison to the rest of the game...

Haha really? I think that was in the first few, I’ve only really played the ones on the Wii where Akamaru compliments Kiba similarly as to how Kankura and Chiyo use puppets. They’ve got a pretty solid/balanced roster in the final game released in the West (Revolution 3).

Simplified controls remind me of the Naruto: Clash of Ninja series. Highly underrated in my opinion, it had all the staples of a fighting game- unique characters and movesets, spacing, combos, counters etc but made even better by the addition of 4v4 and 2v2 play.
