I’m no expert, but it usually comes down to money and who is footing the bill. Some productions like to greenlit two seasons from the start while others do one season and watch the results to see if their is enough interest to warrant more seasons. But even if there is interest or it becomes popular, future seasons…

I’ve genuinely enjoyed Food Wars as a whole; I’ve just heard the series takes a bit of hit after this arc with the manga having recently wrapped up. Really though, it sort of fell off my radar until recently when someone mentioned it was getting a fourth season.

Guess I’ll go first.
