I’m plenty fun at parties, thanks. You must be a nightmare in the wood shop, though. “Sorry again, Jim! Lucky you have ten fingers, eh? Well, eight, now. Aren’t we lucky we have words like ‘sorry’ so we dont have to worry about hurting folks in the first place?”

Which part was a misinterpretation? Or is this that special kind of “misinterpretation” that only happens on the internet and means “I don’t like the way you’re discussing the things I said”?

Good gods, there’s more.

Literally nobody advocated using “Greetings, individuals”, because nobody here is an alien. Did you maybe not read the article?

The “perpetual victimhood” line is a pretty good clue that you’re looking to blame people for your own crappiness. What’s the point of using “gentlemen” in this example? What do you gain? It sounds like you are defending laziness and inertia in order to avoid having to be respectful of those you are addressing. At

Except I’m not talking about that scenario, I’m talking about the next one. Do you go to a room the next day, with 25 men and 2 women again, and still address them as “gentlemen”?  How do you react when those second two women point out that you erased them?

There are ways to be discriminatory or bigoted that do not involve directed anger. If you address a room with 25 men and two women as “gentlemen”, you’re erasing those women. If someone points out that you’re ignoring/erasing people and you still continue, at that point you’ve made that decision to exclude those

Passive discrimination is still discrimination. If someone mentions a way to include everyone that’s faster, easier, and more inclusive, and you refuse it, then it at least implies that you care less about the people being excluded than about your own comfortable inertia. Make of that what you will.

Um, are there defined roles like that for hetero couples?

Have you...never been in a heterosexual relationship? Because I have and there are definitely no d e f i n e d  roles. What she's good at, she does, and what I'm good at, I do. We figure it out as we go. Just like same-sex couples.

The grays on this article are insane. Where did it get cross-posted?

On the tea analogy, I wish they would have also included a person starting to drink tea, but deciding part way through that they didn’t want to finish the tea.

Happy Friday, you wanted a response about how terrible you are. Here you go; I have acknowledged your cruelty and callousness, and I am acknowledging you have managed to repeat the same type of tired cruel “joke” many many many thousands of Internet shit heads have done in the exact same way you did here. I hope this

Regarding kneeling: This started as a protest against the way black citizens were treated by police. Perhaps these multimillionaire athletes would be more comfortable playing games in a different country where skin color is less of a problem between the people and the police.

(At risk of feeding a troll, but understanding that many people agree with you).

The President’s own response to Kaepernick illustrates exactly why this protest is important. He called him a “piece of garbage” or something on Twitter. Meanwhile, the Charlottesville Nazis were “very fine people” — that one he actually said out loud.

Also the food required to power the fleshy turn signal, the power used to roll the window up and down if you dont have power windows and dont live somewhere you can always have a window down... wear on the window mechanism...

Here’s what I took away from this article:
