Still have high hopes for her being in a position of serious power later. Or at least, no one has given me any good reason yet as to why not.

Finally, an end to that nonsense argument that Vietnam was about the Communist/Capitalist issue. If so Ho Chi Minh wouldn’t have been initially receptive to American support, China and the US wouldn’t have found themselves on the same side, and the US wouldn’t have supported Pol Pot’s revolution in Cambodia.

Should have seen that one coming before launching the invasion then. Bill O’Reilly got that one wrong, and it seems like you have too.

Horseshit. I can provide a dozen examples.

It’s not impossible to prove, we know it’s not real, full stop. It didn’t exist. You’re defending the killing of a million people based on a hypothetical.

Thank God. For a minute there I thought a million people had died without those things happening.

This rules based order that respects human rights and which Muslims are wrong about - you know better than they do, after all, you are a White American - includes a Saudi Arabian state which has killed more Yemeni civilians than Assad killed Syrian ones, a Bahraini state which used American tanks to crush its own Arab

When the Iraqi parliament voted to expel our troops after Trump killed one of their MPs he threatened to sanction them back to the 90's if they actually took any actions towards enforcing the vote.

You’re right about that.

Was not caused by Angola and Mozambique, and only a charlatan would say so. The Estado Novo (initally unpopular with the US) came about because of domestic concerns, not colonial ones, and unhappiness with a law which granted privileges to conscripted officers at the expense of professional ones, itself passed to ward

Good point. While we’re at it, let’s ask the World’s Muslim population what they think.

That would literally be a first in human history. Show me please, in history, the government overthrown because people were unhappy with its imperialism.

A million people died in Iraq as a result of the invasion.

Did you just forget that Iraq happened 20 years ago? Or Vietnam? Have you just not heard of those things? Christ, he gave you a century, and you decided nothing happened? If he’d said 20 years you’d be right, but a century?

I’m sure you’ll be on the front lines of the WW3 you’ve just called for right?

Everybody’s down since Trump left.

I’m just trying to understand the mindset of people who support the war on Iraq which killed over a million people. I mean, it’s too easy to say that they’re just evil, but maybe I lack the comprehension for what other words would be more appropriate.

But let’s say for instance that they thought they were going to save people (even though they ended up killing over a million, a total which, according to the State Department’s own figures of how many people Saddam had killed since the imposition of the no-fly zone, would have taken him 200 years to match) - I mean,

Does he get to make a good faith defense? I mean, it’s not as if they went to war with Iraq knowing that it didn’t actually have WMDs right?
