And the other side, which has killed over 100,000 people in the war, is a direct invasion by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, supported by the US. It’s only a civil war if what the Russians are doing to the Ukrainians is also a civil war.
Normalizing the idea of raising money for war victims would help to do so, but I think a lot of people are still beholden to the idea that wars outside of Europe are just how ‘those people’ live.
