They’re of a piece. Iraq is the worst of the lot, and it’s still a bad lot. Which is not to say that the meme is much better. Wrong Libyan flag for starters.

My guess is that she simply cares more about one than the other. I doubt her motives are more complicated than that. What can I say. She’s wrong on the sanctions (although they almost certainly won’t work, I accept that there also aren’t many other avenues). Her argument against supplying Ukraine militarily is also…
You may be conflating people’s beliefs with their motives here. Of course now isn’t the time to remind people of such things without reason, and that is what Ian, wrongly, has done above.
Exactly right. She should support both.
Don’t worry. Our friends and allies in Saudi Arabia and the UAE will increase supply to offset any price spike.
But couldn’t the same be said of Iraq? One (Afghanistan let’s say) has to be divorced from the other.
Don’t forget, Russia is also (even more so really), weighed down by its own government controlled versions of Faux News/Newscrack etc. So the yes-men can spread their delusions freely. Imagine an America where even more people believed that Saddam actually had WMD’s, but there’s noone there to point out the truth.
...congratulations?
So are the latter. Of course they are. You don’t put your own people in power otherwise. Our campaigns are like the Russian campaign in Syria, and deciding militarily who controls a country is a form of conquest.
Hamas of course, funded and supported by Israel as a counterweight to the PLO in the late 1970's. The PLO’s own undemocratic nature is less so than it once was, nobody believes that there are any kinds of elections in Palestine now, but there did used to be, and it’s worth asking what changed.
Arguably makes it worse. We went out of our way to set off a chain of events that killed a million people.
How can you do something in bad faith, legitimately?
Yeah, but then, 2003.
Won’t work, rarely does. The idea that these are super sanctions which will work because they are on a scale which hasn’t been tried yet needs to consider why it is that sanctions fail two thirds of the time.
So 90% of Black voters vote against their own interests?
Wasn’t the company founder exiled though?
