Arrogant, maybe, but I never got cruel from Hank. Maybe a bit of a hothead, and easily frustrated (especially when he was laid up in bed after getting mangled and shot by the twins), but cruel? Nah.

You forgot his role as Captain Holt's husband Kevin from Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Yeah I love this show but I feel like I look at my phone a lot during the cartel bits. Kim, Jimmy, and most of Mike’s scenes though, I’m super focused. And I loved Breaking Bad, but if I wanted to watch Breaking Bad, I’d just put that on instead. I know it has to kind of all go together but it’s not my favorite.
The letter is going to serve as Chekhov’s gun, like the vial of ricin in BB. Maybe this is the thing that pushes Jimmy into formally becoming Saul Goodman. It may also be the wedge that separates Jimmy and Kim.
As my husband said to me last night, “If Gus hadn’t been so insistent on making Hector suffer, he’d would have a face.”
It’s not just the isolation for Gene but also the constant paranoia which the opening scene illustrated so perfectly. The two things Saul fear most was prison or death. He may not be in prison but he’s not free. He may be alive but he’s not living.
That’s a good call. By the end of his run, Hank was arguably my favorite character. I couldn’t stand him at first.
God bless you Tom & Greg.
Succession is Die Hard if every character was Ellis. It’s glorious.
“Not as brutal as the parking garage scene on The Americans, but still...”
That ending seemed more like Axe finally giving into the threesome Chuck and Wendy have been fantasizing about for 3 seasons now. The rest of that scene plays out with Chuck tied to the bed watching Axe and Wendy going at it.
There’s always money... IN THE TRAVEL AGENCY!
Come on Elizabeth is dead of lung cancer by now.
Philip saying that Renee might be a spy is one of the cruelest things he could’ve done to his best friend, even if it was with good intentions.
So good. Literally went from feeling relief at not getting caught to immediately getting punched in the gut.
It’s been settling in even more for me too. So much of what they accomplished was done so gracefully. Sitting here watching it again and there’s just so many subtle and delicate little flourishes throughout. I like the choice to focus on the emotional fallout in the aftermath of everything for the characters rather…
“Ordinary fucking people.”
Burned-alive guy.
I thought she was going to use the pillow. But that wouldn’t have been as dramatic.
I’m going with an Oleg, Elizabeth, Stan shootout in the park. Philip grabs Henry and runs. Paige goes to the slammer. Renee shows up for duty at Claudia’s house.
