“This is a great foundation for future games to build on” has been the running mantra for every mainline Pokémon game since 2013.

Reading all of this sold me more than anything else on this game. 

The more gameplay I see of this game the more it turns me off of it. Gamefreak finally does what fans had wanted for awhile, but typical to their current method they put the least amount of effort into things. 

It’s not pokemon if there isn’t *some* cloning trick.

PSA (to everyone, just piggybacking off this): Retro Bit makes a nice Bluetooth 6-button Genesis controller that I would recommend. Looks and feels like an original Genesis pad, but has rumble and shoulder buttons added. I used it to play Hollow Knight and it was great. It’s also cheaper than the Nintendo Online one.
