Manufacturers can’t publish prices that end users can find, because they sell primarily through dealers and distributors. That’s why MSRP is a thing. If the manufacturer publishes a price other than MSRP, the dealer will get pissed and drop the manufacturer. It’s a bullshit system where the middleman - ostensibly

Speaking of Right to Repair: my 2020 Lincoln Aviator has been in the dealership shop (checks)....54 consecutive days. Lincoln finally agreed it is a lemon this past Friday, after originally saying no it wasn’t a week earlier, which blew my mind. Car is 9 months old, has 5000 miles on it, mind you. Doesn’t even turn

I saw a lot of posts about dealers getting a customer to put down a deposit on a C8, then when the car arrives they want the customer to pony up a $20k markup.

Meanwhile other dealerships have them ready at MSRP.

I agree.  Why should I pay, for example, $250,000 for an $80,000 Corvette?  That car can rot on the showroom floor for that matter.

5th: GM’s supposed “meddling” is good for their customers. Dealers get away with underhanded bullshit all the time, so to try to keep the Hummer EV’s at MSRP isn’t a big deal, and shouldn’t be to these dealers. They’ll do anything (and sell anything) to make a buck, even sacrificing business ethics to do so.

Look at how well that worked out for Australia, most of their home grown cars have died out and they now get the bastardized imports because of it. I’m not saying their market has been abandoned, but their cars have gotten more expensive and they have a smaller selection of cars to choose from because of it. I get

We had one national standard that was negotiated by CARB, EPA, and the automakers.   Then Trump came in, pulled the EPA out of the deal and tried to roll back emission standards.

GM didn’t cut a deal with California, presumably because it thought that the Trump administration could still be of some use to them.

Trump will retaliate with an executive order banning any movies starring Chevy Chase.

Blame Canada...

What do you mean, Trump did not win the elections? that what he says though...

That whole emission rollback attempt was such of waste of time and energy, especially since no libs were owned.

I’d guess GM waited until the election dust settled and now think they are safe from any Trump retaliations that may come from this announcement.

Get TF out of here with your logic, reasoning, and facts.  Clearly this guy just wants a megaphone to complain about LH.

The FIA did not take back the ruling, he served two 5 second penalties on his pit stop, which prevented him from winning the race.

I’d say it’s been a very long time since he’s done anything to warrant the title “Insufferable prick”. Maybe five years ago, but recently he’s been pretty level headed, aside from complaining about his tires, which he does pretty frequently.

Spot on. Lewis is the GOAT. On and off the track. He never got into dirty tactics like Schumi either.

I was having very similar thoughts this season, and especially watching the race yesterday. I really started watching F1 seriously a couple years before he went to Mercedes, and at the time people were saying that he was going to a failing team, and it was the move of a cocky, arrogant kid, etc. I was a Vettel fan, so

Not a Hamilton fan, but another race that showed this was probably Monaco in 2019.

For those who say “he won because he had the best car” look at history, the best driver can negotiate to get into the best car. No team would ever pass up working with the best. I am still not sold on best ever, but best of the generation for sure. Much like the MJ LeBron argument the game has changed so stats do NOT
