@Netscott: Ha great picture/comparison!

@nka: No, I did not. That's great, I was having trouble remembering I had to do a space after my sentence...might sound trivial, but it was throwing off my speed. I like how it highlights above your thumb, and not under it (so you can see what it is selecting).

Amusing, but definitely faked. That blowback looked way too odd to be realistic. Also, putting out that much air to pick a 200 lb man off his feet would have probably knocked the cannon off of the pallets.

@nka: Yes, I do agree. The popup letters are much clearer, and it seems to get the correct keys more often. I am still having trouble with the spacebar, but i'm coming to realize that's more a fault with my typing style than anything.

@nka: Here's the functioning updated model.

Rooted and want the new keyboard (without the text selection)?

@snownpaint1: I remember reading something in the Times regarding ATM skimmers, and the actions of the people who found them. Many called the police, but most departments (at least last year) had no idea what these were, or how to respond to them.

Trollin' the Iranians.

@Xagest: That's actually false, it's not "freedom of speech". It was taken out of US military computers without authorization. If Wikileaks was a blog, posting fake diplomatic communiques that they made up for satire or another reason, then it would be "freedom of speech".

@Maxichamp: I disagree. I'd say the most surprising to me is Lancia! Who uses those?

@The Curse of Millhaven: It most likely won't before christmas. Buy the cheapest one (Kindle Wifi), and save the rest of the money for the device. You can surprise her at a later date with it.

@jstanley0: I noticed that too - I wonder what's the unknown factor? Possibly the NY tree is not actually all LED's?...

Just on opinion - I find 1984 a simplistic application of misinterpreted/not-understood human behavior. A Brave New World is much better developed and (frankly) a more likely scenario.

@Quilt: Definitely. I love most of them. Only one I haven't gotten to is Clockwork Orange and Shade's children.

@Soylent: Banning happens anywhere people are allowed to have an unconquerable opinion. The US is a large nation, with multiple states and view. You may notice a pattern of the states that banned most of those books. I won't get into it, except to say that different people and states have different mindsets than

@NoobixCube: Yes, I have seen 2 or 3 other stories of this happening. Typically it is the green lasers causing the problem. There are never any dumbass shortages for anything, unfortunately.

Good article, Rosa. I am glad someone is posting a opinion piece that reflects exactly what I feel.
