You’re assuming Elon actually cares about sustaining and growing Tesla, which he demonstrably doesn’t. He cares about his white supremacist hobby horses and petty grudges, which makes the two of them a perfect match.
If Elon were to board his dick-rocket and leave Earth, would he be missed?
Tesla’s biggest argument for convincing people to vote for his pay package is that if they don’t he might start ghosting his job.
This is what happens when you give mediocre white boys tech bros money and influence. They prove the stereotype true.
Every time Elon gets sued an angel gets it’s wings.
Yeah but missing basics like ventilated seats and blind spot monitoring that any other car in it’s price range would at least have as an option if not included is crazy, especially for a company that prides itself on being bleeding edge tech.
My 85 year old mother has a ‘13 Honda Fit. She says it’s the perfect car. I told her they don’t make them anymore, so she needs to keep this one going forever.
And I imagine it hasn’t helped much in shifting that target market over to the MAGA crowd, either.
Nailed it.
I’ve said before that Tesla’s biggest advantage was the Supercharger network, but since that’s been opened up to anyone, people who want an EV are no longer funneled to Tesla.
I’ve been looking for a ‘19-’20 Honda Fit. Of course, you can’t even buy a new one in the US, and I think that’s a mistake on the part of Honda. I must not be the only one looking, because 4-5 year old Fits with 50k are selling for at or above original MSRP.
Very impressive. I have to admit that these are EVs that justify a $72K price. Almost seems like a bargain compared to what you get from other EVs like the Taycan, BMWs, MBs, Audis, Tesla, etc.
Rivian put a huge emphasis on the Gen 2 not only being easier and cheaper to build, but easier and cheaper to service, too.
Oh..
Yeah, maybe it would have gone differently if he were running one company instead of seven (or whatever it is these days). I guess Tesla is running on Autopilot...
Having had an opportunity to ride in a Cadillac Lyric, the more platform sharing with Honda/Acura is really going to eat into his sales.
Bullish investors justify Tesla’s valuation with a long list of reasons, pointing to its technology and fervent fan base
Despite all this, Tesla is still the world’s most valuable automaker with a $560 billion market cap.
