Anecdotally, I’m seeing a LOT of Teslas around town wearing some variation of an “I bought it before he went nuts” bumper sticker.

Bought a new car last year for the driveway position of soccer dad mobile, and while I’d have loved an EV (honestly an EV Ridgeline, snap to it Honda) I definitely would *not* have opted for a Tesla just because of Musk.

I mostly agree with this statement. But around me it seems a lot of them (yuppies) are buying the plug-in Wrangler also.

Tesla used to be the only game in town when it came to electric vehicles. That’s no longer the case. Musk is an idiot. Just check out Tom Voelk’s review of the Cadillac Lyric:

The Model 3/Y buyers are mostly the exact same yuppie crowd that used to lease a 3 series. No surprise they drive the same way. The new Model 3 even has non-traditional turn signal to ensure they are similarly disused.

They are filling the market with much slower ones now too.  Although the prices of power have got way cheaper.

Maybe the car makers should implement some kind of parental lock for maximum speed and maximum acceleration power.  It’s just a little bit of extra software.

I feel like Wranglers are basically a sub-brand at this point. A survey of the whole brand is going to include a lot of Compass and other models that are basically just low quality CUVs. 

I would expect Nissan and Infiniti to rank pretty low, but to see Mercedes and Audi at 24th and 25th below the Stellantis brands? My jaw has half-dropped.
